Additional info & updates

4/01: Rejected at Boston College (don't care), but waitlisted at UVA!! Really surprised, because I assumed I was an auto-reject even with residency b/c of my LSAT score. I think I might stay on the waitlist for this one, not because I want to go there, but just to see what happens. Anyway, I think that I've had a great cycle, and good luck to everyone else in making your decisions!

3/26: Waitlisted at American. Don't care since I didn't want to go there anyway, and I already got into my number 1.

3/25: In at Pitt via small white envelope, however, no money :-( That part makes it a lot easier to tell them that I won't be matriculating, since WM is $15,000 a year less. Oh, well. At least I got a free paper clip thingy!

3/17: Happy St Paddy's Day! Only just now got an email from American that I am complete, even though they've had my application for over a month now. Weird... Still haven't heard from any of my other 3 schools, kinda surprised.

3/7: Still waiting for my rejections from UVA and BC. Surprised that I haven't heard from UVA yet, since I thought that I would be an automatic rejection there, but we'll see. Maybe something will be in my mailbox at school when I get back on Sunday...

2/27: Just got a phone call from George Mason's Dean of Admission telling that I was accepted! I really hadn't expected to hear from them so soon, and especially not on my cell or on a Wednesday. I'm especially surprised b/c their median LSAT is a 163 or 4, but then so is W&M's. Maybe my background in econ helped, but who ever knows with these things?

2/25: Haven't heard from any schools in a while, except from UVA and WM saying that they needed my dad to sign the in-state tuition forms... However, I feel that a rejection from BC is coming soon. That's ok, though, because I wouldn't want to spend 3 years living in a snowdrift.

2/16: Committed to attending WM, but holding open the rest of my applications just to see what happens...
Got an email from Florida Coastal yesterday offering me a $15,000 per year scholarship even though I already told them I was going to WM when they offered me a $5,000 scholarship and I haven't even applied there. Guess they thought I was bluffing? Anyway, even with their scholarship, it would cost the same as going to WM with my in-state tuition. First tier school an hour away vs forth tier school 10 hours away. No contest.

2/7 Sent in my application for Virginia. Don't have high hopes and I don't want to go there, but they gave me a fee waiver for being a Virginia resident, so why not?

Also got more stuff from WM today. One packet was about student activities throughout the year, and came with a WM law key chain and WM post-its. So cute!

2/5 Just got into my number 1 William and Mary!! So excited :-D

Congrats on WM! I\'m a JMU senior PoliSci looking to apply to alot of the same schools. (We have the same LSAT, and my GPA is a little lower). Do you have any hints/tips? What profs wrote you LORs? I wish you the best!
