9/21- got rejected from UVA today. Disappointed, but not surprised.

10/21- interview request from Georgetown

11/16- great interview with Georgetown alum, fingers crossed

12/14- Georgetown is going to "hold" my application until they have a better sense of the applicant pool, also got BC acceptance yesterday

12/19- accepted at Cornell! what a great early christmas present

12/12- swore I was done with applications but decided to apply to U Chicago after receiving an unexpected fee waiver

Thanks for the comment! I agree, it's totally worth trying. Friend of mine did the same for grad schools last year, and got rejected by everything, except for -- Yale! Sorry to hear about UVA - best of luck moving forward.

Internships

Yeah--my internship experience made up most of my very short PS for GW, but it wasn't that cool of an internship. Our CPS dept. is constantly in the process of being reorganized, so there was nothing for me to do! I mostly sat in the back of court and watched (which was incredibly enjoyable and informative, but not all that impressive :-P). What sort of exp. did you get in yours? My thesis was original poetry...(I just decided last year as an undergrad senior to go to law school instead of English grad school); what was your thesis about?
