Congrats!

Congratulations on your acceptance to Dayton!

Dayton

Dayton is pretty good. They have a daycare on site (according to there brochure) which is good if you have kids. I have one due in April so that was a consideration for me.

Part time programs

Did you apply FT or PT to NKU and UofL?

Yea, good luck for you too. What did you do so bad on the NKU app? Congrats on Dayton. Do they still have the 2 year accelerated JD?

PT

If you aren't able to get into UofL and are dead set on staying in KY, I would apply to their PT programs. They have slightly lower GPA & LSAT averages which would give you a better chance at acceptance.

Iraq

I was stationed at Miramar in San Diego (I know, tough life right). My unit was attached to the USS Constellation so I had two tours in the middle east. However, I was flown out to attend the Naval Academy prior to 9/11 so my tours were not that interesting (not to say that we had not been dropping bombs on them nearly EVERYDAY prior to 9/11).

UofL

Thanks. It came in an 8.5X11 white envelope. Inside was a "Brandeis 150" magazine. Hopefully you hear something soon. Good luck!

Did your waitlist letter mention when UofL would get back to you? I got deferred, but no waitlist (I wish!!) Good job!

UofL
Sunday, February 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Hey....no I still have not heard anything. I think people who were accepted already are supposed to respond to UofL in early April. So if lots of people decide to NOT attend UofL, then they might start getting back to you and I....hopefully telling us that we are accepted. That is my hypothesis. Let me know if you hear anything back and I will do the same for you. Good luck gecoy

Thanks for telling about what they told you. That is good to know....hopefully it will come out well for us. Good luck and I will keep you posted.

Do you think it's a good sign if we still have not heard back from UofL? fROM WHAT YOU SAID, i was thinking that our chances of acceptance might improve if we hear back next week...?? what do you think?

Yeah, that really sucks. Maybe you can get a little extra time from Dayton if needed. Still nothing in the mail here today. I'll keep you posted

Response soon
Sunday, February 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

I read on the law school's website that an open house for admitted students will be held on April 16 (a Monday, I believe). So I think we will definitely hear something this week. I can barely wait.

Tired of waiting
Sunday, February 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, still nothing over here too. I thought for sure we'd hear something by now. I think if I don't receive a response by next wednesday I'm going to call and see what is going on. Yeah I saw the new ranking....I think we are 97??....definitely good news

This week
Sunday, February 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Hey, April 1st was the date set for admitted students to put in their 1st deposit. I bet they sent out a new set of acceptance letters when not all of the accepted students put in their deposit. I bet that the new acceptance letters gave about 2 weeks for hem to send in their deposits (around April 16). So, maybe we will hear something this week if not all of those newly accepted students send in their deposits. **I think that is how the system works**

Anything yet?

Have you gotten anything yet?

Tired of waiting
Sunday, February 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Yeah, I know what you mean. I just want some contact. I hate to admit it, but I'm afraid to call them for fear that they will think I'm being too pushy. At this point, I'm trying to accept the real possibility that I won't be accepted so that i can begin to RE-FOCUS on the LSAT. I'll keep you posted though.

Finally heard back....
Sunday, February 04 2007 at 07:00 PM

Hey man, sorry to hear about that. I hope you ttransfer ove rto Uofl after 1st year at dayton. I got accepted on saturday....I'm very happy. I wish you the best and thanks for conversing back and forth with me b/c it helped the wait. Good luck again...

hey I have just been looking around on the site and I have similar number to you. I am contemplating retaking the test in February. Just wondering if you found it to be pretty hard or impossible getting in anywhere you wanted with your scores or if you wish you had retaken etc. Thanks for any help
