Received first letter - rejection at Minnesota. Wasn't expecting admission.

2/24/06
Received first acceptance - Toledo. Third Tier, but they're offering a full tuition scholarship. And my fiancee got a full ride. So, it's not a bad fall-back option.

Moving on up to the Tier Two Schools. Accepted at University of Cincinnati. Scholarship info to come.

I was expecting admission to all the Tier 3 schools...but got deferred at Akron today. Not sure what happend there. Not too concerned though. Akron is a hellhole.

Rejected at GWU. Not a surprise by any means. Still would have been nice. Though, it's not like I could have afforded it anyway.

Pretty bummed out...heard back from my top choice...OSU...they are out of spots in this year's class. Definately should have applied in October. Might as well stay on their waitlist.

In at Capital. Didn't expect any different really. Offered a $12,000 annual scholarship. Planning on withdrawing this week.

Well the new rankings are out....Toledo has moved into the Top 100 and Cincinnati moved up five or so to be in a tie for 53. Makes the decision a little harder.

Well my fiancee got in at Iowa. Now I have to wait to hear back since I submitted my application much later than her. Our paradigm has shifted drastically in the course of a day.

Call from Akron telling me that I'd been accepted. Big whoop. At least I can say I wasn't rejected at Akron.

Wow....email from Iowa....the waiting pays off. I'm in. Looks like this is where I'm going to be in the fall. I feel as though a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders.

Visited Iowa today. Great campus. Great building. The housing market sucks in Iowa City but I did get an apartment lined up for the fall.

Well...got accepted at Drake today a few days after withdrawing. Don't know how that works really. Also, got Akron materials....2 weeks after being accepted and days after withdrawing. Strange.

Finally heard back from Wisconsin....hearing back from the first school I applied to last.....guess that means I was close. Oh well. Wasn't going to go there anyways. Nice to have tied up those last remaining strings out there.

Congratulations on Iowa, man. You must have had a pretty stellar application. Isn\\\'t it funny that - were you black - people would be screaming \\\"Affirmative Action\\\" at the top of their lungs? Just curious... what did you submit? Lengthy PS? Diversity statement? Addendum on LSAT score? Good luck next fall.
