Renewable scholarship at Kent could be tricky. From what I have heard they offered this to 40% of last year's class, but stipulated being in the top 25%. I don't know how to verify this, but if it is true it is scary, no?! Food for thought for you. Good luck & Congrats. IIT is my first choice. I do not anticipate any scholarships, so this troubling practice (if true) won't be much of a concern to me, directly, I guess. SMILE! You're IN!!
Yeah, it's the LSAT score. UIUC was upset about falling out of the top-25 in the rankings last year. With all the junk USNews throws into those rankings, studies show the 4 biggest indicators of rank are the peer academic reputation, lsat median, professional academic reputation, and gpa median, roughly in that order. UIUC's rep scores are good. They are trying to boost their medians (including cutting their class size to 180). So, they know a splitter like me may not get into better schools, especially not with $10,000 per year (I doubt I will, too.) So, your index is better than mine, but your numbers won't play to their targeted medians. At least one of mine will. They bought my LSAT score, and they'll most likely get it. It's a tough game, and it can be unfair. I hope this info helps, and I wish you good luck.
