Tech would probably be my first choice, but I'm also looking forward to hearing from TX Wesleyan. My plan is to see where I get in and visit all the schools before I make a decision. I haven't received any law school mail in a few weeks and it's driving me crazy!

That's true, waitlist is better than rejection! Let's see...St. Mary's wants to know by April 1 and Tulsa by May 5, and I just withdrew from OK City. Tulsa is having a pre-law day on March 29th, did you get a letter about that?

for the active consideration for texas tech - I did send them a letter of interest but I dont think it mattered because my acceptance letter was dated one day before they received my interest letter. I would recommend sending one though to all schools that waitlisted you. online i saw that people suggested putting the following in your letter of interest- -thanking them for being considered interest in a particular program that they have. - telling them that you would go to their school if accepted. - new changes that have occurred that reflect positively on you and how that helps you bring something to that school. eg. got promoted - more leadership etc. and close out with something that says how you fit in to tx tech and how you'll do well. and yes i did send in the deposit because its fully refundable through april 1st i believe. since you're at tx tech undergrad - is it a nice environment and how is the law school like? (if you've had a chance to visit)

thanks for the information - i really appreciate it. the only reservations i have about tech is that it's in lubbock and that might hinder job opportunities versus going to smu in dallas (hopefully!) or st. marys in san antonio. or even texas wesleyan in fort worth. -for mine i addressed the letter to the admissions committee. goodluck!

on OKCU! At least you know for sure you're going to law school now, that's a great feeling. The thing for Tulsa says it's for accepted students, just a pre-law day to meet and greet, tour the school, etc. Best of luck with the rest of your apps!

I got that same email almost 8 weeks ago. On the status checker, mine said "Application complete" for a long time it seemed, then changed to "app. under review". I just checked it Tuesday and noticed that it had switched to "Decision mailed". I'm reallllly hoping it's in the mail when I get home from work, I'm dying to know!

I noticed we have almost the same stats and school choices. I am pretty sure I will be going to TX Wes. unless St. Mary's makes a decision soon. Are you planning to attend TX WES?

congrats on your acceptances! watch out for barry in orlando..I took a tour of campus and the school has trailers for classrooms. Not a good sight.

I decided on Texas Wesleyan! I really liked it there, everyone was very nice and welcoming. I sat in on a class and the professor was great! I know a couple of girls that are there now and they both love it. Now I just have to start looking for housing. Any new news for you?

The online status checker says "decision rendered", "decision mailed", and under the Mailings heading, says "Decision Packet." Do you recall whether yours said "Decision Packet" mailed? I don't know if this is code for acceptance or not...
