Additional info & updates

4/1/09 - After visiting both schools, I've decided on South Texas.
Cycle over!

2/17/09 - Looks like it's between South Texas and Tech. Houston or Lubbock? I'm fairly certain I'm rejected from U of H since I'm decision rendered and haven't received an acceptance email.

Let me know if you're looking at STCL or Tech! Aware of any pros or cons?

Thanks! I was accepted for the fall semester, which is the only one I applied for. They sent me an e-mail asking if I wanted to be considered for summer, but I don't. Congrats to you on Tech and St. Mary's! Tech is my #1 choice because I already live in Lubbock. Still waiting to hear from them. Good luck with the rest of your cycle!

Tech Question

Hey did you see a box that says 'fees' before you applied to Tech and did it show up AFTER you were accepted? Mine says decision rendered and now I see a box on their online checker that says fees, wanted to know if I was reading too much into it.

Fellow Bear here (also went into teaching after school), it looks like we applied to some of the same schools! I visited STCL and loved everything about the school. Apparently they place very well in the Houston area, so much that even U of H people sometimes complain. Plus, its in Houston! From what I hear Tech places well in West Texas (Midland, Odessa, Abilene) but that is if you would want to work in that area. This isn't to say that like a Dallas isn't possible, but SMU rules the area. Plus who wants to live in Lubbock? I'm definitely withdrawing my WL.

Why STCL over TTU?

I'm in same boat as you, STCL vs TTU, what made you decide on STCL?
