12/14/09-Accepted to MSU with a phone call. Received congratulatory email the next day. $ is one year only. It's considerably lower than what I expected but I can certainly negotiate up.

12/17/09-Accepted to Mercer via status checker. Packet should come next week.

12/19/09-Accepted to Pitt via mail! The small envelope scared me but it had a nice letter with a bookmark attached. It's one of my top choices so I'm feeling very confident.

12/21/09-Accepted to Lewis & Clark and Creighton via mail, Hofstra via email. Money for Creighton is $12,000 dean's scholarship renewable with top 1/3 grades and participation in 2 co-curricular activities 2L and 3L years. Hofstra's status checker says I was awarded an honors scholarship, so I will update with more information soon.

12/22/09-Accepted to University of the Pacific with a big envelope today! First year books and $15,000 per year with grades in the top 1/3. The acceptance letter had a nice handwritten note referencing my personal statement. It's a great way to start the day!

1/8/10-Waitlisted at Drexel via status checker. Accepted to Buffalo via snail mail. The admitted students open house is the day after Pitt's. Now all I need is 2 or 3 more schools in the region to accept me so I can plan my trip (I'm looking at you Penn State, Albany and Northeastern!).

1/9/10-Deferred to regular pool by Northeastern. Accepted to Loyola Chicago with a big envelope! Scholarship info will come out in March.

1/11/10-A very good day so far! I woke up to a call from George Mason University telling me I had been accepted, which was great because they're an excellent public school right next to DC (and the highest ranked school I've been accepted to so far!). Hofstra's financial aid offer finally came in and it was a doozy, $30,000 a year with grades in top 40%! That comes out to just over $10,000 a year!

1/12/10-Accepted to Albany Law School via status checker! I'll update with financial aid information as it becomes available.

1/14/10-Waitlisted at Minnesota! I threw up a hail mary and hopefully it will end with a touchdown by the end of this cycle! Also, I got word via the Albany status checker that I've been awarded a scholarship. I'll probably get the letter next week.

1/15/10-Rejected via email at Illinois, not completely unexpected but it does suck to get my first rejection. Deferred to RD at GWU via mail (this was completely expected as ED already happened). Accepted to Willamette via mail with a $26,000 a year scholarship! GPA requirement of 2.9 to maintain scholarship which is right around median. It's only $3,600 under full tuition, and Willamette doesn't do full scholarships.

1/20/10-Received my acceptance package from Albany $15,000 per year with grades above median. That leaves an additional $20,000 I would have to pay out of pocket.

2/2/10-Accepted to Pace via snail mail. Scholarship information should be along shortly.

2/3/10-In the shocker of the century, I was waitlisted at Penn State. It looks like they've waitlisted a lot of auto-admits this cycle in the hope they'll boost their selectivity rating. I have a feeling that will backfire...

2/20/10-Waitlisted at George Washington. Not bad, since they've tightened up their admissions standards for PT significantly thanks to U.S. News.

3/8/10-Edited to reflect negotiated scholarship offers.

311/10-Surprisingly received a $10,000 annual scholarship from Loyola Chicago!
