What kind of law are you looking to go into?

Probably going into IP lit. There are lots of people with similar numbers getting deferred. I think you need 4.0/174 to be in the autoadmit category. I imagine some of us will get in and some will get the WL.

hi, looks like you got the wigmore at NW. do you have to submit a FAFSA in order to accept that award, or is it purely merit-based?

I did submit a FAFSA and the letter said need and merit, but due to my current income, I'm sure it's just merit. You do have to submit the FinAid stuff before you can get any of the merit aid though.

thanks

for the heads up about the fin aid paperwork, you were right. btw, you should go to NU, it'll be good times

NU vs. Chicago

I chose mostly on reputation of the professors and teaching quality. Chicago students seem to get a good education vs. just getting the JD checkbox to get the firm job. Also didn't want to go to the 2nd best school in Chicago. Figured that it was worth the extra $50k to not have any regrets later on. NU's location is better though.
