2/15 confirmed i got no merit $ from suffolk. Weird. Lots from NYLS, nothing from suffolk?

3/8 - in at BC, wow

3/15 - cardozo gave me zero $$. the deadline for reserving my seat is today so i guess im withdrawn.

basically down to BC, NUSL and Brooklyn

3/22 It's Cardozo! I'm starting the withdrawal process - other people withdrawing is what freed up scholarship money for me, I believe. Spread the wealth.

congratulations on your acceptance to suffolk! I found out about my $$$ offer a few days later, and they offered me $25K/year, renewable as long as I keep a 3.0 GPA. Let me know if you have any more questions, and good luck on all your other apps!

Cardozo's part time program isn't a night program, you just do the first year in 3 semesters instead of 2 (You start in may instead of september). Brooklyn's part time program is a four year night program i think. part time is always less selective i believe.

What is your first choice?

first choice
Monday, January 09 2006 at 07:00 PM

Well, Cardozo if i can afford it. The $$ from NYLS is looking better and better.

Suffolk

Still not word on $$$ from Suffolk? That's surprising considering your numbers and interest in IP.

I had kind of hoped I'd get something from Suffolk, as well, but not a dime.

congrats

Wow, how the hell did you get into BC? Are you URM? GPAs like that don't often make it there.

Well, I'm 28 and have great good experience (I started a web company). I'm not URM, at least not the kind that helps.

How did cardozo notify you about the money after you had already withdrawn? CONGRATS

Cardozo

I've been unbelievably lucky. I got into BC out of the blue. I let the Cardozo deadline (3/15) expire, figuring, if I'm going to pay full price I'll go to BC, or take the $ at Brooklyn. Cardozo emailed today asking what my status was and I told them I wasn't going. They followed up and I told them my situation and 5 minutes later they offered a 20k/year award. I'm taking it! Since the deadline for accepting an offer had already passed, they knew who had accepted their scholarships and, therefore, how much $ they had left to use as leverage. That's my theory anyway.

I got waitlisted at Cardozo PT, so if I were to get off the wait list, I'd go there in a second. If not, I think i'll wind up at NYLS only because I want to be in NYC. Do you have any advice on how to the whole wait-list situation? CONGRATS AGAIN!

Yes for PT Cardozo. I'm really hoping they are even taking people off their wait list. Who were you sending e-mails with? Rob Schwartz?

Congrats with cardozo

Wow, so you're really going to go to Cardozo? Well, congrats then.

Thanks. Cardozo's got a great IP program, i like their part time program (first year in 3 semesters) and the scholarship is huge. BC's ranking is wonderful an all but it can't compete with that.
