Additional info & updates

01/08/09 - Okay. All of my applications have been submitted and all of the schools have requested my LSAC report. Now for the infamous waiting game...

01/17/09 - I think I have given myself an ulcer. Nothing from Tulane or LSU and I applied nearly two months ago. I am going crazy.

01/21/09 - Status checker changed to "In Committee" at Hofstra. Still going crazy. And my mailman thinks I am stalking him.

01/23/09 - First acceptance just came in the mail from Florida Coastal! Plus $15000 a year, renewable with a 3.0gpa. I also just recieved an email from American saying my file is comlete - finally.

02/01/09 - So LSN has been down for like a week, but my status checker at Hoftra went blank a few days ago, Loyola's status checker switched to Accepted-Scholarship, and a small white envelope arrived from LSU via snail mail 2 days ago informing that I had been accepted there as well. I'll admit it - I cried a little. It's been a good week! As of now I am LSU bound.. I am running low on air but still holding my breath for Tulane... we'll see!

02/03/09 - Accepted to Hofstra via large white envelope today. The personal sticky note from the Associate Dean was a nice touch I thought. Also a small white envelope from Loyola N.O. confirmed acceptance and $15000 renewable scholarship. My psychosomatic ulcer is finally going away.

02/10/09 - Small white letter from American came today.. my first waitlist :( I am okay with that... Pretty much have decided on LSU (barring some miracle at the admissions office at Tulane..)

02/13/09 - Huge manila envelope from Cooley came today.. Offered 50% scholarship renewable with good standing...

02/20/09 - Nothing.

03/02/09 - Large white envelope from Golden Gate came today. I'm flattered that I have been accepted to all of these schools, but I am still going crazy about Tulane. I would really like to go there, but seeing as how I applied there FIRST - and they are the only school I have not heard back from - and I am still merely "eligible for review," I think I am going to go ahead and put a deposit down at LSU. I am excited either way, but I was really really hoping for Tulane.... Guess I'll give it another week or so.... Blahhhhh.

04/??//09 - Got my rejection from Tulane. Was in review for a whopping 24 hours. I don't remember the dates. I could look it up if someone out there really wanted to know.. Turned in my deposit for LSU... Visited the campus a few weeks back and was really genuinely impressed with the whole atmosphere as well as with the faculty. I'm not sold on the city of Baton Rouge.. but I figure I'll just stay on campus and eliminate that problem because the campus seems pretty fantastic... So thats it from me. Good luck everyone else.

Hey, I got notification that my app. was complete, and now being reviewed at Loyola NO. 1/15, just like you...you think it'll take 3 to 6 weeks, like the email said? Best of luck to you! I'm definitely going a bit of luck to get into Loyola. Shoot me a message if you hear anything from Loyola...

hey congrats on all your acceptances... i was wondering if hofstra sent you an email before you got your acceptance packet? i just called admissions and they said that the committee had reached a decision and i should recieve notification in about a week...they didnt say whether or not i had been rejected or accepted over the phone. do you think that is a bad sign, or would they not say either way? im starting to develop ulcers as well...
