Additional info & updates

All stats are slightly off to protect identity.
All dates are approximate.
Did not study too much for the LSAT.

Timeline:

10-04-08 - Took LSATs, received a 152. Not bad, but I wanted better

12-06-08- Retook LSATs, got a few points lower.

12-30-08- Started to send out applications

01-21-09- All applications are out, waiting on 1 LOR and a CC transcript where I took one summer course.

01-27-09- First round of apps is complete. Duq, PSU, Stetson, and Campbell are all complete.

02-04-09- Received letter from Duquesne, congratulating me on my credentials and offering me a spot in the Day Division! Looks like I am law school bound!

02-06-09- Applied to Maryland PT. Not expecting much.

02-13-09- Applied to "the U". Again, not expecting anything, especially due to the later application.

02-18-09- Compelete at Miami, no more applying here!

02-20-09- Getting impatient...

02-26-09- Stetson has made a decision...eagerly standing by the mailbox.

03-05-09- Rejected at Stetson....PA bound for life :O

03-07-09- Waitlisted at Miami. If I get accepted at some point, I will more than likely attend.

03-12-09- Thanks, but no thanks, Campbell. Rather risky option compared to Duq. and Miami.

03-23-09- Waitlisted at UMD. Was a reach school...so in a way happy.

03-27-09- Waitlisted at PSU. Stayin on this one as well. So...looks like I won't know where I'm goin for quite a bit now.

04-30-09- 90% sure I am going to Duquesne now that the deposit is in. Only thing I may do is go to PSU-Dickinson if I get off the waitlist within a month or so.

07-01-09- Still nothing back from PSU-Dickinson or Maryland, so will be attending Duquesne in the fall. Would have been a tough decision if either school had accepted me. Visiting the school next week...for the first time.

Assuming by your comment about Campbell, I am guessing that you were accepted into PBAP..?

I do understand how difficult it will be, but coming from a paralegal background and a pre-law degree, I am hoping to catch on a little faster. If you make an 84 in both courses, you are in. So, essentially 50% of the people could pass and all would be in. I'm going to give it a shot, but Central is my back up just in case! Good luck!

PBAP is going well! This will be the end of week 3. Four more weeks of class and then finals. It has been a great experience so far and I can definitely see how this program really prepares you for the real thing! The move went well and I am really enjoying Raleigh! So where are you going to school?

I just found out today and I did make it. We started out with I think 31 people and we had about 28 sit for both final exams. They only accepted 6 people because they are actually over-enrolled. I am very excited and ready to start in the Fall!
