Additional info & updates

1/22/08 - In at DePaul. Received a phone call from a women in the IP program. No word on scholarships, but if consistent with the last application cycle, it should come with the actual acceptance letter.

1/22/08 - Dinged at ND. This was my first application notification so I was disappointed that it was a rejection. Set a bad tone for the cycle. I really had no intention of going, but hopefully its not a reflection of things to come. Didn't personalize my personal statement or rationalize my lower LSAT score, so....you get what you put into the situation.

1/24 - My anxiety over reading about all these phone calls to newly accepted candidates from Loyola was slightly dimished by my letter of acceptance including an $18k a year scholarship. Not bad. It does require maintaining a 3.3 which is in the top third.

1/28 - So begins the which is better debate: a deferral or a waitlist. I'm not sure. This is definately one of my top two choices so I am excited especially given my relatively low LSAT score compared to the median.

Hey, we have similar numbers and are applying to a couple of the same schools. Just wanted to wish you good luck this cycle!

Deferred at Iowa?

How did you hear from Iowa that you were deferred? I emailed them to check the status of my application and they said I had been placed in the "hold" category.

Iowa deferral

Yeah, apparently they don't tell anyone they are deferred unless they ask. I did get the letter today though.

I got a call from loyola saying that I was in, didn't get any scholarship info through the call and am still waiting on the acceptance materials.
