Additional info & updates

Fee waivers from Michigan, Northwestern and Cornell

GULC Acceptance: same deal, small envelope, handprinted note from dean of admissions or whoever she is.

UCLA Acceptance: email before i even knew my file was complete; very pleasantly surprised

Cornell Acceptance: email before it went to "decision" on app status site

GW Acceptance: email saying an official letter is on the way
GW Scholarship: snail mail saying i was a presidential scholar which gets me 10 grand for the first year and automatically renewable for 2nd and third year

Nortwestern Deferral: email saying my decision was ready on the app status site, then i had to download a letter saying that while they were impressed with my credentials they would like to hold my application to compare it against a broader applicant pool or some bs like that. i havent decided if i am going to put in the effort required to stay on hold as i only applied because it was free to do so.

Penn Hold: email. I am pretty bummed since i was really considering going and now i am pretty certain i wont get in because my grades actually went down last quarter

Michigan Waitlist: email

Boalt Rejection: snail mail. First and probably last outright rejection so a little pissed. They can go to hell.

USC Acceptance: I'm glad my final law school reply was a good one. THis came in a fatty envelope.

I have decided to attend UCLA law at least for next year...

Hi! I might see you at UCLA as I am having a very hard time trying to justify $180,000 in debt to go to Stanford. Also I'm teaching the Lsat class in SB this spring. How creepy is that. Congrats on everything!
