Additional info & updates

In state tuition and $7000 a year at UT
In at Virginia this morning. saw the "unavailable" number on my cell and resisted the urge to answer seeing as though I was still pretty much asleep and didn't want to risk sounding like a lazy moron if it was a law school.... Good Call me. Called Dean Trujillo back and was informed of acceptance and being named a Dean Scholar. I'm excited to go visit Virginia in the spring!
Got the call that I'm in at Penn today too! It's been a great Monday and this will make the Christmas shopping at the mall a little more tolerable today.

In at UCLA and USC!!! I won't be kicked out of California if I decide I don't want to leave... yay!

In at Duke by mail. Also in the mail an invitation to apply for the USC Frank Rothman Scholarship.

IN AT COLUMBIA!!!! and nominated for a $50,000 scholarship. Now i get to go to New York to do an interview! I've never been and couldn't be happier

Got the hold letter from Harvard then two weeks later got the infamous Toby Stock email saying he will call in the next couple of days.... Needless to say I will be glued to my phone until he calls.... Freaking out

3- 14 Had the phone call with Toby Stock while on the 405 freeway. It was very casual and very fast

3- 16 18,000 a year at Virginia

3-20 Full tuition at UCLA.... I thought this made up my mind until....

3-21 In at STANFORD. Via eail. It was said that she tried to contact me by phone but I never missed a call or received a message so I'm not sure. I'm in shock. It's been so long I'd actually started telling people I'd been rejected because I assumed my rejection was on its way...

Any input on what to do would be greatly appreciated. Stanford was the school of my dreams (and Harvard) but is it worth it to go so much in debt when I could graduate debt free from UCLA? I want to practice in LA so how much of a difference will this make in the future? No word on Harvard yet but if I get in there too I swear I'm putting those three in a hat and drawing one out. Please Help. I will be withdrawing from all others schools besides UCLA, USC, Harvard and Stanford in hopes of freeing up spots for those still waiting.

AAAAAAAA SECOND CALL FROM TOBY STOCK. FREAKING OUT. I'M IN AT HARVARD!!!! I KNOW OTHER PEOPLE ARE GETTING THE CALL TODAY TOO SO CONGRATS AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL!! HE EVEN WISHED ME A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW. NOW WHAT THE HELL DO I DO? UCLA IS LOOKING LESS AND LESS EXCITING

good luck everyone!

Hi there, Got your message about UT over on my LSN page. The acceptance letter came first. Then one week later, the scholarship letter came. Then one week after that I got a letter explaining why Texas is such a great school. Hope that helps

Same last class and highschool?

Mostly I ran out of money to apply. I applied to schools where I had fee waivers or thought I had a good shot at and would consider going. Harvard and Stanford were my splurges because they would be a dream come true and even though my chances are pretty bleak at both, I at least needed to try. Also Yale scares me a little :)

Hey, Congrats!

Good luck with HLS and SLS, but if you decide to go the CLS route, I'll see you next fall! and good luck with the fellowship interview.

Hey, COngrats on Stanford. I have to admit i have been watching your acceptances because it is soo cool that i took an lsat class with such a genius. If i were you I would go to stanford because the debt could be paid off but it would still be cool if you went to ucla because Juliya (from that LSAT class) and myself will be there. Good luck making your decision

congrats!

Congratulations on all your acceptances. I'm sorry I don't have any advice (unless you want to do public interest work, in which case the debt wouldn't be an issue), but best of luck to you with a very difficult decision!

I hope you're at admit wekend. If so, I'll see you there. I withdrew all my apps today except Harvard and Stanford (well, yale's not going to happen anyway...) and if the weekend is good, I'll be sending in my deposit to Stanford soon after. Hope to see you there and convince you to come to school up north.

Big congrats on all of your great acceptances! We are very similar in that I also want to work in SoCal. I just visited UCLA this last weekend. Even though I could probably get a big scholarship I'm turning them down for Harvard, I think. I just withdrew from NYU as well, even though they gave me a lot of money. Let's chat about these great options we're fortunate to have! You can reach me on AIM at "placiddallastx"
