thanks for the first comment~ as you might have noticed...i applied to a lot of west coast schools even if they weren't great schools. main reason is i want to move out and practice in CA so i basically aimed for that region. for similar reasons, i avoided east coast schools (even good ones i could get into) cuz i'm looking to move west and not east. hopefully i'll hear back from my top choices soon! thanks for the support :)

Hey, you're actually getting the first comment I've ever made. THAT prestige is yours. We have similar numbers and a similar commitment to living in CA (although I'm already home here). Good luck to you!

NU

wow, i was an '04 grad..i am also asian-american...still pretty connected with the asian circle there....as for ucla vs. usc, i live in cali now so the consensus is that i should pick ucla not just for the prestige and ranking, but also the in-state tuition...regardless, i wanna practice in LA so it has to be one of these schools...but if USC accepts me and offers $$$, I might be swayed otherwise..what would u do if u got into ucla? is usc ur top choice now?

Davis

I'm definitely going to Davis. I already sent in my form. I had actually made the decision over UCLA, but then I found out I was only waitlisted anyway. It's perfect for me for a long list of reasons.

hmm...i bet we know the same ppl...did u have prof. schnaiberg in soc? i mostly know the lambdas and kpls...and usually hung out with koreans from international HS even tho I am from chi-town...but as for ucla, there were specific steps i took to get in...but very time consuming..it wasn't a shoe-in acceptance...lmk if u want pointers...and maybe u can help me get into SC...

Hi, Congrats on your acceptence! I was just wondering when the deposites are due at USC. I\\\'m on the waitlist and wanted to have some idea of when people might be withdrawing. thanks.

is a great place to be. I went to USC for undergrad and I went to UCLA full-time for my paralegal certificate. I wouldn't be too concerned with the area. There is crime around both schools and there are homeless people around both schools. The actual campus at SC is great and the alumni network is amazing. I got into Oregon law school because the Dean of Admissions went to grad school at SC. Nothing beats the Trojan Family. Don't be sad if you don't get into UCLA.
