I'm not sure what BC is doing either but GW is a better choice (and so is BU if you get in! I did and you should. :) Good luck with Cornell!

Surprised you didn't get into either. Doesn't make sense. Your numbers are above average for both.

Essentially I wrote a short essay that their essay about "what made you want to be a lawyer" or something like that was a dumb question.

Good Luck!

Some thoughts

Regarding your question above... I think it matters on what type of law you want to focus. Vanderbilt is very good for corporate and health. GW is good for international. I really don't know about ND, since I did not apply to it. Also, where do you want to live? Vandy is in a small city. GW a big city. ND a town. Big city has the most options for work and nightlife. Small town a better chance to focus on your studies and spend time in the outdoors. I am having the same difficulty deciding where to go, but my decision will most likely be determined by financial aid officers.

i visited notre dame back in february, and it was a great experience. everyone i came across at the school was awesome, excluding one admit girl who scared me with her intense negativity and another guy who had the unabomber look. i visited on a whim and really loved everything notre dame. i know ndls is academically strong, so that's never been a concern; the only thing that's been giving me doubts is the location. but recently, the alumni have been getting involved and have already made me feel like i'm a part of the family. even a professor has emailed me (which to me is unheard of). also, ndls' placement seems to be very strong in calif (calif has either the 2nd or 3rd most ndls alumni)... still though. i haven't totally made up my mind. i will be visiting bc's admitted students day this week, so we'll see how that goes. but i can say that bc law has a lot work ahead of it to win me over. hope that isn't too long. i actually tried to keep it to a minimum. also, hastings is totally out (they've made one too many clerical errors, including sending me last year's acceptance letter and sending me someone else's mail). if you have any further questions, i'd be more than happy to answer them. anyway, good luck deciding!
