Additional info & updates

University of Utah information:
My status page changed on Friday, March 4, 2005. We were unsure if this meant acceptance or rejection because everyone else seemed to have gotten the phone call from Dean Aguilar prior to the decision status changing. The one thing that kept my hopes up was that the status page had 3 new boxes that were added. So in addition to the "Decision Letter Generated" note, three boxes titled Matriculation Requirements, Degrees, and Enrollment Status also showed up.

Today, Monday, March 7, 2005, Dean Aguilar called at 1742hrs (5:42pm) CDT, and said "I wanted to call and give you an update on your application status. We would like to extend an offer to you for admission."

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Now, I just have to wait till next Thursday, March 17th for my husband to officially "match" at Utah!
-------------------------------------
3/17: My husband matched at Utah today so it's official - we are moving to SLC and I am attending Utah law!

-------------------------------------
3/21: I have sent off letters to officially withdraw from all schools but Utah!

--------------------------------------
Okay, so here's a little about me. I'm 26 and currently live in Omaha with my husband and adorable black lab. He is finishing medical school this year at Creighton and it is very likely that we will be moving to Salt Lake City for his residency this summer. We recently visited SLC and the law school and loved them both. I visited with Dean Aguilar and he's a great guy.

So, now I am not so patiently waiting to hear if I have been accepted. As you can see, as of this point my application has been complete for about 9 weeks. Not only do I really like the school, but I have to go there if I have any hope of going to law school. Due to our situation, it's my only choice. I await Dean Aguilar's call!!!

I now exactly how you feel. My wife is more than likely beginning her residency at U. of Wisconsin. I've been waiting about 6 weeks to hear whether or not I'll be accepted there. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the both of us...

HOORAY!!!

I'm so happy for you. Utah's obviously smart b/c they couldn't have picked a nicer person to admit. :)

Congratulations

Congratulations on Utah! I'm sure it's quite a relief to know you are accepted. My wife interviewed at Utah as well. She is going into internal medicine, and I have applied to schools in her top three choices. Hopefully it works out. Good luck to you both.

Thanks for asking. She matched at OHSU (portland), and I was accepted to Lewis and Clark. So we will be staying home! Good luck to the two of you, and enjoy the Beehive State!
