12-16-05 Received a call from the Ave Maria admissions office informing me I have been accepted with $15,000 per year scholarship.

12-27-05 Accepted at Hofstra with $10,000 per year scholarship. Came in a large white envelope.

12-27-05 Accepted at Vermont with $8,000 per year scholarship. Large package came priority mail.

12-27-05 Accepted at Quinnipiac with no money...WTF??? Small letter sized envelope (I thought they were rejecting me at first).

01-04-06 Rejected at Maryland.

01-06-06 Quinnipiac merit scholarship of $22,000 per year.

01-09-06 Waitlisted at Valpo. Actually my "status is officially known as "admissions pending", a status above the traditional wait-list category." They asked me to send a quick e-mail stating my continued interest.

01-18-06 Accepted at Denver no word of money. Came in a regular letter envelope. Once again, I thought I was being rejected, schools really need to stop sending acceptances that look like rejections.

01-19-06 Accepted at St. Louis with $24,000 to be paid out equally over all three years. Came in a large white envelope.

02-09-06 Received a call from the Lewis and Clark admissions office informing me I have been accepted.

02-15-06 Waitlisted at Utah. Small envelope with a few papers.

02-19-06 Accepted at Willamette with $12,000 per year scholarship. Small envelope with a few papers.

02-21-06 Rejected at Wisconsin.

02-24-06 Rejected at Houston.

02-24-06 Deferred at Iowa.

03-13-06 Rejected at Montana.

03-14-06 In case I didn't get the memo, Montana's financial aid office sent a letter stating "While processing your financial aid, we have discovered that you have not been admitted to The University of Montana." Thanks, I get the point, I won't show up in August.

03-17-06 Waitlisted at Oregon. Small white envelope with one sheet of paper.

03-22-06 Rejected at Colorado.

03-22-06 Waitlisted at Iowa (I had been deferred on 02-24-06). Small white envelope with one sheet of paper.

04-07-06 Rejected at Texas.

04-11-06 Received Email from Ave Maria informing me they have increased my scholarship offer to $25,000 a year from $15,000.

04-11-06 Seat deposit paid at Denver.

05-16-06 Received a call from Dean Seno at Oregon letting me know I have been accepted off of the wait list.

I'm not really sure, they made it sound like they freely admit people off of this list. Unlike traditional waitlists where most schools never even go to them in a cycle.

It came after the admissions letter. There has been no packet from them, the acceptance was one page and so was the scholarship offer.

Unfortunately no mention of money from L&C. That would have added to you lobbying power but now you really gotta work to convince me.

At least Willamette included enough papers to where it was thick enough you know it's not a single page rejection letter.

I'm not taking any classes this year as I graduated in 2002. Right now it's looking like SLU is in the lead.
