Hopefully my profile will be useful to people applying after this year (and this year) especially people who will wind up with multiple LSAT scroes. I took the LSAT 3 times the first time I got a 154, second 152 (no idea what happened), and third a 163. these are my Law School Predictor results for my highest LSAT and below for an average of the 3 (which I hope they don't do but I understand if they do), I'll update everything as I hear back.

Additional info & updates

5/7: For the sake of completeness I was waitlisted at Chicago this afternoon via e-mail

5/6: Accepted at Georgetown this afternoon via e-mail! Definitely going and withdrawing from every other school at some point tonight. They sent an e-mail a few days ago asking about my interest level and for awhile I thought I'd wait and see what Penn offered but after thinking about it Georgetown is a better fit for what I want to do and has more of what I'm interested in so I'll be heading to DC in a few months! If I had any advice for anyone who stumbles on this later it's that if you score in the low 150s once (or twice) study harder and take the LSAT again, it will make a difference!

4/16: Rejected at Duke via e-mail, still waiting on Chicago but at this point my focus is on getting of some of these wait lists

4/7: Rejected at Stanford via mail

4/1: Waitlisted at Penn! Definitely happy to get that news after a string of rejections

3/30: Rejected at Columbia via mail

3/29: Rejected at NYU via e-mail

3/26: Rejected at USC via mail

3/20: Rejected at UCLA via e-mail

3/8: Waitlisted at Fordham via e-mail

2/25: Waitlisted at BU via e-mail

2/15: Rejected at Berkeley via e-mail and on the preferred waitlist at Georgetown. Not too surprised at Berkeley and really just happy Georgetown didn't reject me. I'll probably hold out until mid-July because I'd love to be at Georgetown in the fall!

2/11: In at Loyola via mail with 96k over 3 years as long as I maintain a 3.2. Also received my Pitt admissions packet and they gave me full tuition over 3 years as long as I maintain a 3.0.

2/6: In at Pitt via status checker, also got my Tulane acceptance packet in the mail...it's very creative.

2/4: In at Tulane via e-mail! $25k/year scholarship as long as my GPA is 3.0 or higher

2/1: In at Cardozo will a full ride via phone call! Also got scholarship information from Miami in the mail (I got an e-mail a few days ago saying it was on the way), 30k/year as long as I'm in the top third of the class which they estimate is about a 3.2 GPA.

1/30: Scholarship e-mail from Richmond, $25k/year

1/29: Interview request from Georgetown

1/28: Pepperdine admissions packet came today, 96k over 3 years as long as I maintain at least a C average.

1/25: Got scholarship info from Temple in the admissions packet, 45k (15k/year) as long as I stay in the top 2/3 of the class.

1/22: In at Temple this morning via status checker! E-mail came about 5 minutes after I checked the status checker. Also in at Pepperdine!

1/18: In at Miami via e-mail and the status checker! Hopefully I'll get into their M.M. Music Business program too!

1/15: Got into University of Richmond via phone call! So excited, first acceptance! Definitely didn't expect to hear anything from anyone for another couple weeks

1/3: Started the new year much better, after a 154 then a 152 I managed a 163 on the December LSAT. I did write an addendum just because the jump is so big. The applications I didn't send out yesterday are going out today. I think most of my T-14 schools are out of reach but the worst that they're gonna do is say no.

11/1: I'm not really sure how you do worse than a 154 but somehow I found a way after consistently scoring in the 160s. One last shot, hopefully I can do amazing in December because there's no way I can talk myself out of two low scores without one amazing one

10/23: Fee waiver from Cardozo

10/22: Fee waiver from Temple...still waiting on the LSAT and hoping I don't have to take it again

10/9: Fee waiver from Tulane! Again, just popped up in my e-mail, I'm sure a bunch of other people got them too. Just waiting on my LSAT score, I can't say that I feel great about the test and I am somewhat mentally prepared to retake again in December but hopefully I won't have to.

9/27: Fee waiver from Miami! I had to order some brochure first but it saves me the trouble of asking them for one.

9/4: Received a fee waiver from University of Chicago, I'd been on the fence about applying but I love Chicago and if I don't have to pay for it I really have nothing to lose.

7/2: Retaking the LSAT in October

Good Luck!! I'm retaking in October too. A better score IS possible!! My last PT that I took yesterday was 11 pts higher than my June score. Now if I could just do this on test day and not freak out like usual.... :|

Hello, I am about to start preparing for the LSAT. I was wondering what methods did you use to study for the test? Thank you in advance.

...you now have a good chance at NYU, down. Even Columbia is in play. I've seen it happen. Please send those apps out ASAP. Congrats on the significant jump!

I'm surprised you think BU would deny you with your numbers. No way! Good luck on your cycle--I'm rooting for you.

I do take lsat two times for now(same numbers as you have), your experiences really inspired me! Thank you for sharing it! Would you like to share something about your great jump in the test? Thank you!

Thanks!

Thanks, Manhattan LSAT helped a lot. I was pretty solid on logic games by that point (despite how I did on the previous two tests) but I didn't feel comfortable with logical reasoning until after Manhattan.

I concur with you!!!!

It's ironic you mentioned that. After Kaplan and shifting though other books, I ordered Man LSAT which I'm reading right now. It certainly breaks down LR better than anyone else thus far, it's helping me really understand how to answer these questions. Sorry about Columbia and NYU :( my dream schools as well... Cardozo is sweet though :)

Thanks :)

If neither Duke nor UChicago comes through with an acceptance, definitely ride the UPenn and GT waitlists. My vote is for UPenn or UChicago though. Crossing my fingers for you!! It's been a bumpy ride but its almost over. :)

Friday, August 19 2011 at 08:00 PM

Good luck!!! I'm casting my vote for the Penn and GT waitlists as well! You never know what could happen from now until classes start (or until you're just done waiting)

Saturday, September 10 2005 at 08:00 PM

Please don't settle for Cardozo. Should no remaining school grant you acceptance, any possibility of applying next year with similar stats? I think timing is everything, especially for URMs with middle numbers. I'm positive if you were to apply Sept/Oct for the next go, you'll have many more acceptances from the T14s. Anyway, just a thought. :)

Farewell and good luck!!!
