Congrats yourself! I'm extremely excited. May I ask where in VA you're from? I used to live in Virginia Beach... Anyway, good luck on the rest of your cycle.

Boo indeed!

I'm so sorry to hear about UVA! On the bright side, at least on the WL there's still hope. My fingers are crossed for you. Good luck with the rest of your cycle!

Nothing wrong with random and unsolicited! But yeah, with the exception of Cornell, I'm pretty much looking to stay in CA for school. Minnesota and Georgia temped me with fee waivers. It looks like UVA was one of your top choices, so I'll be rooting for you to get off the waitlist!

Hey! Wow your cycle seems to be going pretty well :P. I do intend on remaining on the UVA waitlist even thoughI have no shot lol. We need to have a talk about BC v. BU lol

thanks for the kind words, i'm really excited about BC! BC vs. BU...hmm...so honestly, I don't know much about BU. I'm from California, and BC has always been one of my dream schools. I love that it has a great athletic program, I love the campus, and I love the fact that it's a bit outside of Boston. It seems like it offers the perfect location for enjoying the city but also allowing students to kind of get away from it all too. As for BU, I know it has a great reputation in California, but I feel like I'd probably enjoy the environment at BC more. I need to visit BU, of course, so I'll do that sometime soon when I'm visiting BC (I haven't counted BU out yet). What are your thoughts? are BC and BU your top two choices right now?

Saturday, December 20 2008 at 07:00 PM

sounds good! I think I'll at least be visiting sometime in February, but I'd like to try and make the admit student days too. Question about BU: so, I didn't get any money in the mail either...it looks on TLS like some people get money later in a separate letter? Seems weird we wouldn't be considered for money bc I think we should get pretty nice scholarships at BC, and if I get into Notre Dame (my other top choice) they seem to be pretty generous. any idea who typically gets money at BU? just high GPA admits? thanks! : )

Ugh

Sorry about Gtown! :( Do you know which way you're leaning yet?

Thursday, October 22 2009 at 08:00 PM

It's looking more and more like Fordham for me (unless Cornell or a WL pans out, and even then I might stick with NYC...). I was leaning Notre Dame for awhile, but I've been in scholarship negotiations with Fordham and they ended up coming through in a big way this week. My fingers are still crossed for you, Krispy!
