For the words of encouragement. I'm not as stressed now that I have one accept, and thankfully my day job keeps me away from this website for most of the week! ;o)

Thank you from your congrats from a couple of weeks ago- and congrats on admission to my alma mater! As we have similar numbers, and you got the same result as I did last year when I applied, I bet you have some money coming your way!

Thanks!

the ucla waitlist was dated 3/14, which i think is the day i called them for a status check bc i never got a complete notice. can't really be that upset by it though since i received the good news from berkeley first. good luck to you on the rest of your cycle - we are still waiting for some of the same schools! :)

Thanks!

Awesome! It's making my decision tough. The NYC schools have always been my top choice (stay close to bf), followed by the LA schools (home). So I'm leaning towards NYU and praying that they give me a reasonable amount of aid. If I some how got into Stanford though, I have no idea what I would do. I also wouldn't know what to do if I got off the UCLA waitlist; in-state tuition is pretty tempting too. Good luck on those last few decisions!

Thanks

I got the infamous purple folder in a manila/yellow envelope yesterday. I think this just proves that there's still a chance for us pending people so we can still hope!

Yep

I decided that right now I'm leaning towards Cornell's collegiality and size a lot, but NYU's location and certain programs a lot, so I need to go to the school on a day they're actually doing stuff to get a feel for how the "vibe" compares and see if I think I'll be swallowed up by the huge student body before I decide. Nice increase of USC's offer- did you ask for it?

Good idea. Otherwise you might end up staying on a waitlist you're not even certain you'd attend if you got in (like I did last year) and not being able to be satisfied while it's pending. I'm taking a bus up from DC Thursday afternoon and will be there through Sunday (my bf is coming up late Friday night and we're making a weekend of it). Do you know people in the area?
