And that's it, folks. After visiting Michigan and Vandy, I was first surprised to feel "meh" from Michigan, but I figured I'd just suck up the debt and weather. But then I visited Vandy for their ASD, and I was surprised at how much it clicked for me. $ and happiness with my classmates and surroundings FTW!

I'm very happy with my decision and can't wait to be in Nashville!

Admissions:
3/18: Withdrew from all schools, except Michigan, Cornell & Vandy
2/27: Whoa, flat out rejected from BC after being held from the EA pool. I also withdrew from Boston.
2/19: WL at Duke via email (also in spam folder) - withdrew
1/15: USC via mail (small envelope)
1/12: Michigan (Summer start) . Logged into the ASW Saturday.
Cardozo via email.
1/7: Waitlisted at UCLA via email that went into spam folder - withdrew
12/23: Cornell via email
12/18: Vandy via big box waiting at the door!
BC hold to RD
11/18: W&M via status checker. Received packet 11/23

Scholarships:
4/6: Cornell scholly after calling the office and asking them to email it
3/25: USC scholly via snail mail.
3/1: $72k from Vandy via snail mail. Its going to be a tough decision between them and Michigan.
1/29: $34k per year at W&L via email
1/12: Cardozo full scholarship, no strings attached guaranteed 1st year housing
1/1: Miami via letter (can't remember exactly when), $69k
12/24: UF via letter (not sure when it was received). $30k, in-state
11/23: W&M in-state tuition small scholly $4k stipidend (totals $57,500)

Admissions:

Its coming down to Vandy with more than half scholly or Michigan at sticker. I'm visiting both, but leaning towards cutting my debt.

Both of my waitlist emails went to my spam folder, while all of my acceptance emails and other LS communications go to my inbox. Gmail is trying to be kind to me and shield me from the stings!

Wrote "Why ____" essay for Michigan, but not for Duke.

Wrote W&L optional essays.

Good luck this cycle! With a quick glance at your numbers, you should send out apps to Michigan, Georgetown and Cornell asap!

you're not in love with michigan. that's their job. i wouldn't do summer start, man. not in this economy. follow your instinct and go to cornell. or hold out for duke. good luck

I see you chose Vandy! Congrats! I really wasn't impressed with Michigan either after visiting so it's looking like BU while I hang on for dear life on the CLS waitlist :) Have fun in TN!
