12/11: First acceptance!!! In @ Miami (safety).
12/11: Deferred at Minnesota (Happy about it). There was a typo in the letter... ah well, no one's perfect. Maybe they'll decide I'm perfect later this cycle... ;)
12/14: Rejection from GULC dated 12/08
12/15: Email from Miami saying a scholarship letter is on the way.
12/18: Outright rejected from BC. I was DEFINITELY not expecting that. I think the jesuit schools have something against me. Ah well... Happy Hanukkah.
12/18: Miami Scholarship via mail. Dean's Merit, $23,000/yr renewable with "B" average.
12/20: Received email from Chicago-Kent Dean saying he "just learned from the admissions office that [I] should be receiving an acceptance letter soon." Letter included $10,000 first-year scholarship grant.
12/22: Received UCinci acceptance @ my permanent address. Letter dated 12/19.
1/18: Read it & weep everyone who went decision on 1/10. Got my in-state UMich rejection today. Ah well, at least now I have 6 full months to deal with the fact that I'm moving out of state.
1/19: Came home from a night out to a rejection from Northwestern. Within 36 hours I received a rejection from both my #1 choices. Apparently, I dislike 2007. Cheers.
1/24: Cinci Honors Scholarship letter received. $10,000/yr renewable with a 2.0.
1/24: Loyola-Chi waitlist. I think this is because I was a no-show for two visits this summer. Whoops.
1/26: In @ Wisconsin! I already have a flight for the ASW! Also, OSU rejection via small white envelope, which is quite unexpected. I wasn't going to end up there anyway, so probably better for them!
1/27: "Hold" email from Illinois. Email states my app went through initial review and will be receiving a close second look.
2/03: Waitlist letter from Vanderbilt dated 1/29. Even the letter said they may not know until registration in August. Oi vey. People who KNOW they're turning down Vandy-- withdraw!
2/09: Waitlist letter from Indiana-Bloomington. Wasn't expecting that, like OSU, but I feel rather indifferent. Wisconsin is showing the only Big 10 love.
2/13: No love from B-town... first-round rejection from BU. Stellar.
3/11: Return from Spring Break to rejections from GW and UI-UC. Ah well. At this point, I'm thankful whenever a final decision is made... since I need to make mine!
3/14: It pains me to decline $69,000, but I had to do it. Withdrew from Miami.
3/17: Ding from Emory on St. Patty's. It's my lucky number day, so that means that I can't be mad b/c it was meant to be. ;)
4/30: Dinged by UNC... after a rankings drop & such a long period of silence, I couldn't care less.
5/30: Deferred to Waitlisted at UMinn
6/15: Withdrew from Kent.., bye bye dreams of living in Chicago. (Boo Northwestern)
7/27: In off WL at UMN... what to do... what to do....
8/3: Turned down the offer from UMN... damn that was such a hard decision... my brain hurts.

Dear Vanderbilt:

Your waitlist acceptance percentage scares me. AND, now you're ranked 16... so my Lucky 17 doesn't apply. :(
