I feel like I've been applying my whole life! But to answer your question: late October and early November. I played D-I tennis too. Where did you play?

I'm leaning towards Cleveland State right now, with the choices that I have. My top choices are Stetson, Hofstra, and Pace. I said if I got into any of those I'd tried my damndest to make it happen. I still have hope in Stetson, but I know my chances are slim to none with Hofstra. I'm considering right a letter of reconsideration to Pace. I'd really like to go to school in New York. (Preferably not Touro). I quit after 2 years. I developed knee problems... it's sad we're so young, but with the grueling practices they put us through we have the aches and pains of 60 year olds! It's good that a lot of your schools are still pending... no news, is good news.

Hi, I read your post on lindt's page. Hofstra does not average the LSAT if it is a significant difference of 8 or more points. Good luck on all your apps! :)

good luck

good luck with those top choices, i'm still waiting to hear on all 3 myself. hofstra/pace are also near the top of my list.

Thanks!

Thanks for the vote of confidence, but I don't think anyone is golden this year. It seems like everyone is being more discriminative. If I hear anything from Temple, I'm pulling out of Hofstra and Villanova, because it would be cheaper for me. If I get in, I'll tell them they have to give my seat to Malkin. I think you still have a good shot a CYU, it isn't like you were a bad student, plus you have good extras. On a separate note, which Widener did you apply to?

NYL was in that range of scores where I had a 25% chance, but I knew I couldn't afford Manhattan prices. And I know millions of people commute in to the city every day, but I didn't want to be one of them. It's the same problem with schools in Boston, I know I can't afford the rent and I don't want to commute. This small city has spoiled me with it's lack of traffic jams. I can't figure out Qunnipiac, unless they had one of the free waivers. (I can't remember). I felt like I had a pretty good shot there. They must have sent out so many of those waivers that they had an overwhelming amount of response. Hmm... maybe the ABA revoked Touro's accredidation... One of the lawyers I intern for says that the law building is a renovated high school. High styling.

go figure

with all my bad-mouthing about Touro, I would be the first person on this website to put up my acceptance. Irony, I suppose. The wrote a really nice acceptance letter, mentioning info from my personal statement... I really wish I had time to go up there and visit, to see if it's as bad as they say it is.

I might come be a stowaway in your luggage. They have this great exhibit in Central Park right now called "The Gates". I've wanted to go see it for months... You should check it out, it's a sight to see.

Yep, only place i applied. I have other non-academic reasons for wanting to go there.

Kent

I would really like to get in to Kent also- any idea when they will make a final decision? Decided not to go for the evening program- I really want to be done in 3 years, plus I maybe want to do their JD/LLM dual degree prgram.

Kent

Hey, they haven't rejected you! yankykitten predicts your acceptance is in the mail next week. That will be when I withdraw because I'll be accepted to Temple by then. Good luck!

Glad you like my name. They suck! Nope, no money for me at JM. I'm thinking that they might have a 155 LSAT cutt-off for scholarships. I'm definetely gonna try to negotiate by calling or email because I'm leaning their way. Good luck and let me know how yours works out.

thanks

If you get into any of your waitlisted schools, will you go somewhere else other than JM? I was waitlisted at JM, but I don't really care. What area of law are you going to go into? JM is NOT that great of a school, although if you do want to practice tax law, they are excellent. If you get into U of the Pacific, are you going to go? I got waitlisted there also, but I haven't bothered to send an e-mail or the card back in the mail. Too local of a school for me. Where are you planning and/or want to practice once you get out of law school? I am STILL waiting to hear from Kent. I don't think that's a good sign, I think if they were going to admit me, they would have already done so. I didn't get deferred, either, but I haven't been accepted anywhere in Chicago and Chicago was my first choice and I still want to practice there after I get out of law school. Due to my losses, I finally switched my first choice to IU Bloomington, but if I get into Kent, I'll probably change my mind. Anyway, drop me an e-mail or something. I know a lot about JM and I know a professor who teaches there. He even wrote me a recommendation, so I was surprised I was waitlisted, but I guess they didn't bother to look at anything past the numbers. Good luck!

Thanks. I got a call from an admissions officer who asked if I was still interested b/c she was going to recommend me for admission. The next day I called her back and she gave me the good news. You also have a good chance of getting in. I hope you do!

Thanks

Yea Thank God for Pace. I'm still sitting, waiting, wishing for St. John's though. While I quite ecstatic to go to Pace it's just SO not that good of school yet. ya know? Like they're definitely slowly building a reputation for themselves. I like that it's small, I like what it's campus looks like and I just like that I got ACCEPTED somewhere. where did you go to undergrad by the way? I went to Bowdoin.
