DOES ANYONE HAVE ADVICE ON HOW TO INCREASE MY CHANCES OF BEING ACCEPTED AFTER BEING PUT ON A WAITLIST? DO MORE LETTERS HELP? ESSAYS? BEGGING? BRIBING? (just kidding). SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW OR DIRECT ME TO SOME RESOURCES THAT COULD HELP ME!

To answer your likely question, yes, IU Indy is my top and only choice... In Indy, I have a house with a mortgage, a husband with a great job, and a dog who might not handle a move very well. Moving on...

Although I began working on my application way earlier, it was turned in at the last minute because of various problems. I'm kicking myself about it and I'm pretty sure that my being waitlisted is tied to my application being received ON the deadline.

I just found this website today (May 5th) and became entranced studying all of the numbers - it's addictive!

Anyway, I am freaking out about how to turn my waitlisted status into an accepted status! Anyone have advice for me?

Thanks for the ideas... I think I will try writing a essay/letter epressing my intentions. If you haven't heard from IU yet, you should definitely call the law school admissions office, because they say they sent all of the letters out last week! Your's may have been lost in the mail or something... I hope you have better news than what I got! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hello, I am actually the wrong person to talk to, because I didn't have to give any seat deposit. I won't have to start paying until August b/c I will be starting class in the summer "May 15". I can tell you this.... I am actually on the waitlist too, for Fulltime (I would like to go fulltime, but if I am forced to do PT, that is fine with me also) and they told me they won't know more until the second seat deposit is due on June 1st. After that they will start pulling from the waitlist. Call them and let them know they are the only school you applied to and that you really want to attend their school. They did tell me that they are really over booked, and it probibly is hard to get off the waitlist. I wish you all the best, I hope to see you next fall in INDY. Take care!

Congrats
