Additional info & updates

3/1: Applications are in. It's an eclectic list. I have my reasons for applying to each but I'd rather not go into them, as it gets kind of complicated after choice 1.
3/8: In at Pepperdine via lovely mail packet w/ 38k for 1L, but - and this is a gem - it's renewable if you are in the top 1/3 of your class but we may give out more Dean's Scholarships than there are places in the top 1/3.
3/9 - In at Wake F. via email so I know as soon as possible about their accepted students day or whatever. No scholarship info.
3/11: in at MSU via email. Received packet from Wake. According to the letter they dole all scholarship funds by Mar. 1, but I got an email today saying I'm eligible for a scholarship there? Okay...
3/14: MSU scholarship offer is for full tuition (GPA > 3.00) King's scholar honors program.
3/17: Today I got an application package from Alabama that's dated February 16th and looks really beaten up. Paranoia about not getting my mail on time increases accordingly.
3/21: Acceptance email from Illinois, package coming in the mail soon. SLU package in the mail, accepted w/ 81k total in scholarship. A good day. Still waiting on the Chicago schools.
3/26: Package from Illinois, full tuition. Phone call from Loyola, honors 24k in tuition aid. Acceptance from William Mitchell w/ no mention of merit scholarship. I'm a little confused given my numbers and what other people report on here. My interest is legit; I like Minneapolis as a city and I'm not a shoo-in to UMin. My odds of going there were low, but I expected a nice scholarship offer since I have full ride offers from three "better" schools. Their loss, I suppose. Still waiting on UMin, Kent and DePaul.
4/6: I am in everywhere applied saved UMin, who I still have to hear from. However, Chicago-Kent has offered me a very nice scholarship, renewable if I'm in the top 25% of my class and renewable at 50% if I'm in the top half (or thereabouts). This is a fantastic deal for me from a school that I love thus far and I've decided to accept it w/out hearing from UMin. DePaul offered me 75k.

I'm pleasantly surprised at the offer, and I'm proud to be a Scarlet Hawk (well, that's IIT's mascot. Not sure if Kent embraces it, but I sure as hell will!)

4/21: received letter today that UMin waitlisted me. Looking over basic numbers I have no idea why, but their letter states that they currently have no room in their fall class, it was unexpectedly good, yada yada. Completely independent of being waitlisted, I'm completely unimpressed with UMin's admissions dept. First, they took a full month longer than anyone else to send a decision out. U of I is just as big, prestigious, and deals with just as many apps and they got theirs back quickly. Second, now I find out that there was apparently no room in their class, anyway (if they're being honest; if they're not, I certainly wouldn't appreciate it), which they tell me 6 days after my deposits were due elsewhere.
