Hey, just checked my comment and not help should be not hurt. my bad about that man.
I see that for Fordham, many people have been deferred. This question is a repeat I'm sure, but I am relatively new to this site. Can someone elaborate for me? Why do they distinguish between the 2?

From what I understand and have read on the subject, waitlist means they don't want to reject you outright but something might open up in the future. Deferrel means they like you but they don't know how their applicant pool will look so they set you aside to look at when they have a better idea. In my personal opinion I would rather be deferred b/c it means they still havn't made a decision yet. But then again, I am sure there are people that advocate that a waitlist is better b/c the school has kind of accepted you, there just isn't room. Seriously, we will just have to wait it out. I think part-time is the worst since they don't know if anyone who applied full-time but got w/l or deferred would want to switch to PT so our apps take the longest.
LOL. Actually, I was crying!!!! I'm serious. So, if you get off the Forham waitlist, will you be attending Cardozo!! Congrats!!!!!
The above post is not me. - " Oh!! By the way, bad luck to your Fordham waitlist. I don't want you to get into a better school than me. Especially since your LSAT is only 3 points better but my GPA is MUCH higher. That would suck so bad if one lucky Sat. afternoon trumped my 4 years of excellence against your mediocre performance. Anyway, we're lucky enough to get into Cardozo as it is!! LOL. - calgirl86 " I can't believe people are so callous as do such a thing.
I just noticed that you can't click on this idiot who did such a thing to view his/her "profile," But, you can click on mine.

Hey there! Congratulations on all your acceptances! We have similar numbers, and since I am having some difficulty with Hofstra right now, do you mind if I very eagerly ask if your $30K there is per year or over 3 years? I'd really appreciate your input! good luck!
Hey, good luck w/ all of your schools. I am sure you will get into most of them. Who knows, maybe we will be classmates at Fordham next year. Concering the LOR's, it is not going to help. I am sure it factors into their decisions somewhat and it just might be what pushes you over the edge.
