1-11-12: (WESTERN) My file is complete and will be or has been sent to the Admissions Committee for review.

1-18-12: (WESTERN) My file was updated. Application still being processed. Date change represents internal processing.

1-20-12: (WESTERN) My file has been reviewed and a decision has been made. [took only 9 days in committee review--good or bad sign??]

1-22-12: (WHITTIER) Still i committee review, however, I now noticed a "Hochner Deposit" field in the bottom left corner of the status screen. That was not there before. I am hoping I've been selected for the Hochner program.

1-23-12: (WESTERN) Decision letter sent.

1-24-12: (WESTERN) Received decision letter. Very thin envelope = REJECTED---just as I suspected. My status changed in only 9 days after committee review. I appears to need at least 28-30 days for a positive deicision according to other applicants. No worries---wasn't meant to be.

FINGERS STILL CROSSED FOR WHITTIER---I have also applied to their Children's Right's Center.

Hey momma: I applied to Whittier and I had Hotchner thiing light up too. I think they put that their in general. You could still get in! You go girl!

Hey Lisa, I just checked my status from Whittier and it does show "Hochner Deposit" as well. I wouldn't take it as something negative, everyone has a fighting chance. Good luck!

Well... I applied on 11-18-11. I went and visited the school of the week of 1/20/12 and had a tour. I was put into review on 1/24/12 and had not heard a thing until I checked the status checker this week. My file was in review for only 3 days at Western State before I was going to check out the school, then they denied me the day I was going to visit. (No idea why I was rejected so fast there and waitlisted at Whittier) But yeah, I don't think I'm going to go there but I am just going to see what they say... Keep ya updated
