You might have a low lsat but you have a very high gpa! Reach higher!! Apply to some schools way out of your range. You may be surprised!! You are a URM and a boost will be given to you!! Be Greedy!! Good luck!

You dont like any of the hbcu's like NCCU, FAMU or Southern? They are very affordable and you would easily get into those.
I was going to apply to Howard, but I realized how much I like diversity.
Dont be cautious. You are going to lose at least one case in your life so why are you afraid to get a rejection letter? Cast a wider net. Plus speaking on diversity, black lawyers are going to be make up the majority of your network when you practice. The legal field is incredibly racist. Google...racism in law school 101
Good luck on your cycle. I hope those aren't all the schools you are applying to? With your numbers and being a URM, you can get into a T1 school easily. Up north their are many schools you can go to including U Conn, St. Johns, Benjamin Cardozo, and Also Howard U. All those schools starting salaries are in 100k + and Howard starting salaries are up to par with T14 schools. Yep, their average is 150k. So you should look into that.

Thanks a lot Beth I have to admit I'm not conceited, but convinced that I wrote a wonderful personal statement. I have applied to 12 schools in total.
There is a major difference between conceit and confidence. Nothing wrong with that! Heck, I feel like I wrote one heck of a PS too! LOL. Even the 1 person from this site that I let read mine said it was a "very, very good" personal statement! I truly believe that personal statements can, and do, sway admin committee's if there are factors that may be less than stellar. A great ps can seal the deal! :) Keep us posted on the other 9 schools!

Niesene, Yes you can always switch from full-time to part-time or vice versa once your admitted, but it will require the dean's permission.

How has your cousin's legal career been since graduating from John Marshall? I'm curious because I got accepted there and I'd love to live in Chicago, but I'm afraid of not getting a job by going to the lowest ranked school in that city.
My cousin who graduated from Atlanta John Marshall has been unemployed for almost a year and has decided to do contracts for people here and there. I don't know about Chicago.

I liked Southwestern a lot, but I really don't like LA and I couldn't see myself living there. I'm not sure I should go to a school where I'd be in an unhappy living situation
