Additional info & updates

8/6/09: 2 days before I am set to move up to Athens, I get a call from Vandy and I am in. After a hard decision, I turned them down. Too late in the game.

6/8/09: All set to go to UGA. Maintaining slim hope for GW but no hope for Vanderbilt as I was basically told that their "class has shaped up basically how they like it".

4/10/09: Rejected at UNC via snail mail. I see that I am one of the first so I am truly honored. They are crazy with OOS. My friend with a 168 and a 4.0 was waitlisted.....

4/9/09: Withdrew from Illinois. Great school but too expensive.

4/1/09: Withdrew from Ohio State. Good school but not enough scholarship money and hard to get in state tuition.

3/28/09:
Right now my top two are William and Mary and UGA. UGA is cheaper, W&M is a pretty campus and a nice change of pace. Hmmmmm....

Received Rejection from Emory via small letter. Expected, but first rejection does suck. On my way to UGA admitted student day.

3/16/09: Vistited William and Mary over the weekend and loved it. It is a beautiful campus and the law library is brand new.

2/19/09: Financial aid from Ohio State. Not enough and I will likely withdraw soon.

2/5/09: JUST received an acceptance email from Illinois. SWEEEET. Also was told about the 10k / year scholarship, which I think is pretty generous with my numbers being less than their medians.

Also decided to put the rest of the schools I have applied to up.

2/2/09: Called GW today and found out I have been waitlisted. 3-0-2 record, not too bad.... 3 more schools to go.

1/28/09: I am absolutely floored. I have not seen many Waitlists for Vandy and was expecting either a rejection or acceptance(most likely a rejection). I know it is EXTREMELY hard to get off waitlists but the impossible only takes a little time to achieve. Pretty good day...

1/26/09: I was accepted at William and Mary with a $5,000 per year scholarship. Very attractive school. Nice surprise considering I sent in my application later on in the process. No word on Vandy....

1/23/09: Vanderbilt Decision Mailed out today... ahhhhhh

i appreciate the congrats. and yes, when its all said and done i expect to consider UGA very strongly. its great to hear your friend enjoyed it. i'm really leaning toward heading south for law school for a change of scenery lol. good luck with your schools and congrats on UGA yourself!
