Additional info & updates

The law school application process sucks for people who don't do well on standardized testing!

5/18/07 Even though UDC was my original choice, I've been leaning more and more towards NCCU. The costs (tuition, cost of living) are so much lower and the north carolina law marketplace seems much less competitive than D.C.

NCCU it is! You can't beat their low low tuition...facilities are really nice too!

When did you hear that you were accepted off of the waitlist from NESL? Did you send any additional information to them?

NCCU and UDC

Congrats on your acceptances to both! I chose UDC because of the cost, programs, and primarily the clinic. I like that they model the law school curriculum after med school - practicing and learning real law while in school. I also read several articles that said most judges and current lawyers wish law school taught more practical and applicative lawyering than theory. Finally, much of the faculty at UDC has done many of the things I want to do post-grad, so I thought I'd garner more from their experience. I have many friends at NCCU and they all have had great experiences, but I wasn't going to hear about money until this month, and I already had UDC and Capital sending me promissory notes. Besides that, I needed to make my decision earlier, as I'll be returning to the States from overseas. I'm sure I'll be around the Triangle to visit, so good luck and maybe I'll see you at some of the conferences.
