retake

most people i'd advise not to retake. but with your gpa, you can get into everywhere if you hit the LSAT score that you practice at. you have to make a good showing this time around if you want to get into those top schools. a 158 is mediocre with the competition, so good luck on getting that 170 on the real deal!

I am definitely going to Hastings. Just turned in my deposit the other day.

I think it was likely my PS and soft factors that landed the Congrats envelope at my door. My college roommate and recent T5 law school grad told me my PS was the best he had ever read (he has read MANY) and my spouse said it made me sound arrogant (you have to know her), so I'm guessing it looked pretty good to Hastings. LORs = One great one/ One "who knows?" (I didn't read either of them though). Softs probably helped the most though.

Yeah, I am so jazzed. Congrats on Davis. I am still waiting to hear back from Davis... I am not sure what to think of Hastings vs. Davis. I like SF better, but something tells me that Davis might be a better school. I guess it doesn't matter at the moment. Good luck with the rest of your cycle.
