Additional info & updates

Scholarship amounts are for grant money offered over 3 yrs.

Decision dates are those listed on the letters or the day I got the phone call.

I submitted all applications November 6, and went complete everywhere within a week of that date.

11/30 -- DR on Georgetown status checker
12/2 -- in at Georgetown via snail mail small envelope. Thrilled to know I'll go to a great law school next year!
12/9 -- e-mail from UVA asking me to call
12/10 -- phone call from MN -- in with full out of state tuition (named scholarship)
1/8 -- acceptance from L&C via snail mail big envelope
1/8 -- e-mail from Wash U with acceptance and mention of being considered fro Scholars in Law award
1/11 -- e-mail from Berkeley saying my application was sent to committee review
1/15 -- phone call from UCLA
1/22 -- e-mail/status checker/PDF scavenger hunt for NU's acceptance letter!
2/10 -- WL e-mail from UChicago
2/18 -- rejection e-mail from Berkeley
2/25 -- HUGE Scholars in Law award from Wash U via e-mail
3/23 -- NU scholarship award by e-mail

3/25/10 -- I've officially made my decision and withdrawn from all the others! It's surprisingly nerve-wracking to hit "send" on all those withdrawal letters, closing off so many options. Still, NU has been my top choice all along, and I'm really grateful it all worked out.

4/19 -- Oh, yeah. Stanford. I decided not to withdraw on the off-chance I might possibly be accepted. Good thing they spared me a hard decision. Or something. Rejection letter, dated 4/15, arrived in the mail.
