Additional info & updates

Okay, everyone else's paranoia has affected me (even though I don't understand it at all). I'll repost what I had here later. I'm on thin ice as it is.

03-16-08: Received an e-mail from Cornell saying my application is complete.

I've marked the completion date for Fordham as the received date. It is marked complete online, however I do not have the actual date.

03-20-08: I HAVE BEEN PLACED ON RESERVE AT COLUMBIA!!!!!!!! It's not a yes, but it is darn sure not an outright rejection!!

03-26-08: ACCEPTED TO FORDHAM via e-mail!!!!

03-28-08: Accepted to Northeastern via small, but thick envelope!! With a Dean's Scholarship as well, that's incredible!!

03-31-08: Harvard status checker finally changed from "Application Received" to "Application Under Review."

04-01-08: 08:50p.m. received a phone call from a Northeastern 3L. Had a great discussion about the co-op program and the first year.

04-04-08: I guess I'm not getting a scholarship from Fordham. I received a financial aid application in the mail (though I haven't received the official letter of admission yet).

I also got a huge package from Texas Tech in the mail today making my heart skip several beats thinking it was an acceptance. They are now on my "not happy" list.

04-05-08: Received the official acceptance from Fordham in the mail today. Binder to follow.

04-07-08: Called NYU and Cardozo, both applications are still in committee.

04-10-08: Okay, confused. Received an e-mail from Harvard saying my application is complete, ten days after my status changed to "Application under review." I guess I'll change the date. The e-mail said two months for a decision. Yikes.

04-18-08: Waitlisted at NYU in a large yellow envelope through snail mail. However unlikely it was, I'm actually quite bummed I wasn't accepted. (I can't explain my odd reactions to these things.)

04-21-08: Informed NYU that I'll remain on the waitlist and withdrew from Northeastern (ugh, painful).

04-28-08: E-mailed Cardozo regarding the status of my application. Received an e-mail telling me my file is complete and a second e-mail the next day telling me a decision would be rendered "in the coming days."

05-13-08: The inevitable HLS rejection e-mail.

05-27-08: Received a letter from Cornell dated 22 May saying that I've been placed on the reserve list.

05-31-08: Waitlisted at Cardozo via thin, snail mail envelope.

And that's (pretty much) my cycle, ladies and gentlemen.

06-09-08: Rejected off the waitlist of NYU in small, white envelope via snail mail. *sniffles*

06-11-08: Placed in the Second Reserve group at Columbia via snail mail.

for the congrats. glad to see we have a lot of schools, and activities, in common. Law schools sure take their sweet time getting back to people. Don't worry about it, some school in NYC will accept you. who knows, we might be attending the same schools in the fall. good luck with the rest of your cycle, and keep me posted!
