This cycle is coming to a close, and I think my wife and I have made our decision, we wanted to have family very near us, and with the rejection from FL our decision was made fairly easy. We will be heading to the University of Oklahoma. I know there are higher ranked schools that I got into, but OU fits our needs better and because I want to work in the public sector, I would like to keep my student loan debt to a minimum. OU seems to have a very strong program, and in the state itself you cannot do better.

6-1-1 Oregon in today. This is an interesting option because my sister-in-law and future bro-in-law are possibly attending school in Eugene for the next two years.

5-1-1 W&L waitlist, and SMU acceptance. Dallas is home right now, so SMU is an exciting option, it will depend highly on scholarship money from them. OU increased their offer to me. I enjoyed my visit to Bama, but because of my wife and daughter I question whether it is too far from family. I am very excited about all of my options, and still praying that UF will come through for me.

4-1 CO-Boulder rejection yesterday. Probably wasn't going anyway, but it still stung. W&L was sent out yesterday, should know by next week. Visiting AL next week, they have been selling themselves really well. Tough decisions.

4-0 I was surprised and glad to hear from Alabama so early, just based on my numbers. Great school, something that is going to make my decision way harder.

3-0 great start, but I don't think it will last too much longer. I am excited about my acceptances, and hoping for more, the more choices the better in my opinion. I know that I have been reviewed at UF, and that I am Decision Pending, which is apparently alot like waitlist/hold, I guess they are waiting to see if they can put me in a spot or not. Good luck everybody!

Congrats on your acceptances! How did you hear from Stetson?

Yeah, I felt the same way about the OU situation. I even spent an hour on the phone with them this week, even asking them to reconsider the merit offer. I feel we have gotten all we will get.

However, that all being said, I really like OU. What are your thoughts?

Thanks

You too! Do you have a top choice?

Sorry, realized I wasn't logged in. You can PM me about the OU scholarship if you would like.

Congrats on SMU! If you don't mind me asking, did you do anything to get OU to increase their offer, or was it out of nowhere?

Nice. A merit aid bump would definitely put me over the edge there. I don't have as good of an offer to negotiate with though.
