it's totally dominated by me. RAWR! I don't have a favourite or anything now. I am okay about this rejection because the realization that it makes far more sense for me to go to a Canadian school has been cementing. I really had no clue what I was doing when I was preparing my applications, and it was only about a month after I applied that my senses started coming back. At this point I am probably going to that other school in Toronto that is not U of T. I think it'll be a really good fit for me, and I get to save tons of $$$. So, no tears shed. How about you? Will you go to NYU? You could do the joint degree thing and save 2 years of tuition back in home territory.. and hang with me!! :)

you can apply for the jd/llb while at NYU, too. but yes, deferring for a year and preparing for better financing is a great idea i think, especially if you are pretty happy with where you are/what are you doing now. also, sure, getting out there is surely exciting. i think it is worth it to go away from home to a different country. you must have lots on your mind these days then.. good luck to you with your decision. where in canada are you anyhow? p.s. long posts are fine. did you really mean that my long post was inappropriate? >:(

It looks like all of us who went complete on 3/8 haven't heard anything from Harvard, good or bad. If you look at the batch of 3/8 completes from last year... it's pretty disheartening. :( What do you think took so long for us to go complete? There seems to be many applicants who applied at the same time/after us and went complete weeks before us.

Yes, our information as listed here is very similar! Even the long-term travel (between high school and university for you, between UG and grad school for me). Hope you get good news soon from the remaining schools. They keep us waiting for a long time, don't they?

NYU loans

CitiAssist Global Loans. You probably don't have the same problems I have: you are Canadian, so this may not be relevant to you. There are better options for Canadian students. For me it is impossible to get loans in the US without a US co-signer. NYU-CitiAssist allows international students to take out loans without a co-signer. Columbia-CitiAssist does not.
