Additional info & updates

11/10 Just got an email from HLS to set up a phone interview! Slight adrenaline rush just from reading the email.

11/17 Had JR1. Seemed all right, but went by quickly.

11/30 Saw that I had snail mail from Georgetown when I got back to school after Thanskgiving. What a great surprise--I got in! Nice pick me up before finals.

12/4 Just got a phone call from Dean Tom--I'm in!!!! I am ecstatic right now!

12/5 Wow, snail mail from NYU! I'm in! Cycle is better than I could have dreamed of so far.

12/10 In at Michigan today! They've probably been the friendliest school to me this cycle.

12/14 Still no JR2 and people are starting to get into Stanford. :(

1/13 Got the "Harvard hold." Not happy, but I guess I can stop thinking about Harvard for now, and who knows, maybe this'll make my decision about where to go that much easier. Also got a letter from Michigan saying I got the Dean's Scholarship! (Value entered is the total over 3 yrs.) I thought I wouldn't be going to Michigan, but this might change things...

1/14 Got into UChicago! Nice!

1/25 Accepted by Columbia via snail mail!

2/8 I'm starting to consider the schools I've already gotten into, in case I don't get into HYS. I'm struggling to decide what I would pick between Columbia and Berkeley.

3/8/10 Oh My God. HLS finally!!! :)

Good luck on your cycle! I'll be watching your decisions closely, wish I had that ivy though!

JR is very friendly and unintimidating. He asked me the questions from the email, as well as one question about what support networks I intended to rely on during law school. The interview lasted a little over ten minutes, and was more of a conversation than a formal procedure. I don't have a lot of experience interviewing, so a lot probably could have been better. Unfortunately I don't really have any specific suggestions in that regard. Best of luck!

Stanford

Well I went to Stanford UG and I have pretty good softs, which I think put me over the edge at SLS. My numbers alone would not have gotten me in.

Thanks!

Don't know where I'll be going yet, but I'm looking forward to visiting the schools and deciding. Best of luck to you too - looks like you have a lot of exciting decisions coming your way next month :)

Never did get that JR1, so I've pretty much written off Harvard. I feel terrible for you though; getting that early JR1 with no JR2 has to be awful. Have you gotten a "hold" email yet?

Still don't know yet, but thanks! Congrats on a good cycle :)
