Hey! What does your GState status say? I have heard mixed reviews about mercer. I have a friend who graduated from there (not top 10%) and got a good job... I don't know though. We'll see what happens with State.

The status checker just says decision made: admission not granted, or something like that. I think you have a decent shot. I think they are a little nicer to residents than non. I would have loved to move to Atlanta though. Oh well. Best of luck to you. PS Have you been to Mercer? If so, what's it like there?

I'm definitely leaning toward Samford- my family is already settled in Birmingham and I love it here. I hope you get some good news from GSU really soon!
Sorry to hear about State. Your choices are very solid, though. I'm really not sure how well Samford places in Georgia. I do know Cumberland grads are always in demand here. Have you seen Samford yet?
I was at Samford yesterday, sat in on a class and spent time with a 1L. I also paid my seat deposit, so it looks like I'll see you there in the Fall. I spent the last 4 days looking at housing, so if you need any info, please let me know. We have friends in the area that have been a big help to us!

Yay! Congratulations on taking the plunge! It feels good, doesn't it? There are tons of decent apartments close to the law school in Homewood and Vestavia. I'm not sure what rent would be, but it's a safe area (very important IMHO) and convenient. Congrats again!

Hey! I talked to an apartment agency today and they said I needed to come down ASAP to get my name on the waiting list for apartments! So I'm going down not this weekend but the next! Do you have an email that you check regularly - maybe we could talk some about everything! Hope all is well...
