Well, I'm up for a Dean's Fellowship for Quinnipiac, which would mean free tuition, a laptop, dinners with faculty, and a research assistantship--if I get that, I'll go there. I can't pass up free law school 20 mins from where I'm currently living. If I don't get that (I only have a 20% chance, as there are 29 other applicants for it), I'll probably go to UConn, as it's only $14,000 a year for in-state and is a Top 50 school.
I see you applied to RWU and you're from Rhode Island. Do you have anything to say about that school? I got into their Honors Program with full tuition, but I'm hesitant to take it seriously because I've heard a lot of nasty things about the law school there.
I received a full tuition at RWU. I do not really know much about the school, and I am hesitant to make a decision as yet being that I still have 4 apps outstanding from Nova, Alabama, Ohio State and Cardoza. I know decision deadline is coming up really soon, but I am no closer to making a decision than when I first started
Yeah, I've never even seen snow, lol. That is my biggest problem with RW. The cold would be a big adjustment, it was in the 80's here today...
Leaning toward UConn since it's the best school I've gotten into so far (Tier 1), but the full scholarship to RWU is tempting. However, I've heard that they just squeaked by with ABA approval, and there was speculation that it is danger of being revoked. If you want to read more about why RWU has a bad rep, go to lawschooldiscussion.org and look under the Graduates section for the Roger Williams board. I'm still visiting on the 24th to make my own decision, but the bad comments do sit in my mind. Thanks for the note, and good luck on your quest for law school!
I am up north more by Orlando, but the keys are great. I am throroughly enjoying the weather!
I am not leaning towards anything at this point! I have no idea where I want to go, and the deadlines are fast approaching. I've got some serious decision making to do! If you want, I'll keep you posted...thanks for the comment!
I visited Roger Williams earlier today. So far, you're the first one on this site listed as attending. I think I might be the second.
I am not quite sure what school I want to go to, how about you? I got into the honors program at Roger Williams, it looks good, but I think the weather may be a bit too cold for me. We will see!
