Additional info & updates

April 13: With only 2 days to spare, I've finally made a decision: Loyola it is!

March 30: After negotiating for additional scholarship money, both MSU and Kent upped their offers. MSU went from 50% to 75%, and Kent agreed to an addition 10k (non-renewable). Loyola also agreed to remove the GPA stipulation from their scholarship.

March 8: Waitlisted at Indiana via snail mail. And with that anticlimactic finish, I'm done waiting! Final score is 12-3-2. Time to make some decisions.

Feb 25: rejected at minnesota, finally (via email). I thought I'd be an auto-reject, so I'm not sure why it took them 3 months to figure that out.

Feb 23: accepted at villanova via status checker. And then there were two...

Feb 15: Wisconsin LOCI sent.

Feb 7: MSU sent me a letter encouraging me to apply and saying I'd be a great candidate. Thanks MSU, but you already accepted me over two months ago?

Feb 2: In at Temple via email.

Feb 1: First waitlist of my cycle comes from Wisconsin, via email. UW was at the very top of my list, so I'm disappointed.

Jan 29: I had an interview with IU this morning... I think it went pretty well!

Jan 21: Received snail mail acceptance from Pitt today (on 1/18 the status checker changed to 'admitted', and I haven't received an emails) The letter said I'm on a "scholarship waitlist" and will be notified later.

Jan 14: In at Penn State and Brooklyn today, both via email.

Jan 8: Kent scholarship letter arrived. I can choose from two options: 20,000/year renewable with a 3.25, or 12,000 with no GPA requirement. Interesting.

Jan 6: Rejected at GW via e-mail. That was the hail mary of my cycle, so no surprises. I also got an e-mail from Indiana inviting me to an optional interview in a few weeks. I didn't even realize they did interviews... but I signed up!

Jan 5: Admitted at Loyola via e-mail! Glad to hear from somewhere... it's been a while! Email said info about $$ comes out in Feb.

Dec 18: Admitted at John Marshall via snail mail. (About a week ago, status checker had changed to "decision made")

Dec 17: Rejected from Illinois via email, and then accepted via status checker at Kent. Even though I was expecting a rejection at Illinois, it still stings. Hearing from Kent definitely helped!

Dec 16: In at Iowa via status checker!!!! wooo hoo!

Dec 15: Got the snail mail letter from Northeastern today. They offered me 8,500/year, plus 3,000 stipend for a co-op.

Dec 13: In at Northeastern via e-mail. I submitted exactly a week ago... can't believe how fast that was!

Dec 3: In at DePaul via e-mail!

Nov 30: Admitted via phone call from Michigan State. At least I know I'm going somewhere next fall! Scholarship is 50% plus 5k for the first year. I just estimated the total above.
