I have a rather upset Libby posting on my wall. I understand why she is upset. I do not believe anyone should have an advantage due to the color of there skin. For a good dialectic, I do believe overall diversity is important. To add a little information about myself: -I have a Masters of Legal Studies with a 4.0 w/legal thesis published -University Honors Program Graduate with 4.0 w/legal thesis published -President of University Honors program -I have earned a paralegal certificated and have worked as a paralegal for indigent criminal defense clients (two years), including death penalty cases -have also worked civil appeals -much more... My GPA is low only because I spent two years at the United States Air Force Academy which had a C curve. I have had a perfect GPA in both undergrad and grad since I have left. Furthermore, if I agreed with you, in that I am only admitted because I am Hispanic, I would not attend. I was wait listed because the totality of my life experience, not because of my race. If you would like to see a well written personal statement, awesome law related letters of rec., and a resume, please send me a message and we can exchange. It should also be noted that the world can never have too many lawyers, but we already have enough bitchy ones. Abby, please go into another profession.
