- Mar. 25, 2008 - Just got accepted to UK. It really feels good to get my first acceptance. They still haven't provided a financial aid offer. I will update this page as I receive new info.

- March 26, 2008 - At Baylor, I was accepted for the Spring 2009 quarter and waitlisted for the Fall 2008 quarter. Baylor has not yet made a scholarship offer.

- April 3, 2008 - UK has offered me a merit scholarship reducing my tuition to the amount paid by KY residents. I must maintain a median GPA or higher for the scholarship to be renewed. However, if I apply for and am accepted for KY residency, the scholarship will be nullified, but I will then be eligible for financial aid available only to KY residents.

- April 7, 2008 - U. of Louisville has accepted me and offered a scholarship of $5,000 per year, provided only that I remain in good academic standing. There is no requirement that I place at or above a particular level of the class.

- April 8, 2008 - University of Denver has offered me nothing in scholarships and the Federal Stafford Loans I can get anywhere I attend. What a joke. I'm going to withdraw my application.

- April 21, 2008 - Received acceptance packet from U. of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. McGeorge is offering free books for the first year only and $15,000/yr. scholarship, renewable annually if and only if I score in the top third of my class.

- April 30, 2008 I'm pretty sure I'm going to be attending University of Kentucky. I've already mailed in the first tuition deposit.

- May 11, 2008 It was a big surprise to be waitlisted at University of Oregon. I was pretty sure UO was going to accept me. It's okay though.

Hi there, Congrats on UK and deciding to go there! I have been to Lexington quite a few times as my sister went to UK undergrad and currently lives there with her husband. I was just down there looking at places to live too. It is a great city, not too big, but still with plenty to do. Let me know if you have any questions about the area! Best of luck and be seeing you in a couple months!

Sorry I haven\'t responded to your comment until now... I haven\'t checked lsn in about 6 weeks. Congrats on UK! I\'m sure you will find it much different than life in California, but hopefully in a good way. I\'ve lived in Lexington for 5 years now, so if there is anything I can help you with, let me know. Have you found housing yet? It would probably be best to email me.

If you like basketball, you will be in heaven. Congrats on the UK admit. Lexington is a beautiful area. Great place to raise a family too.
