Additional info & updates

04/26--Rejected at IU-B after all this time...guess I wasn't the "type" of person they wanted. Screw you. Well I'm going to UK where they want me and I'll enjoy going there too :)

04/17--Accepted at Oregon today, but no scholarship so I'm withdrawing. I only applied because they gave me a fee waiver and I wanted to keep a west-coast option in case my SO or something else drew me there. Meanwhile, spoke to IU-B today and they said it will probably be another TWO WEEKS before they render decisions for "my group." AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH!!!!

04/16--Deposited at UK so I'm about 90% sure I'll be going there in the fall. However, still holding out the long shot at IU-B, but the longer they make me wait the less enthusiastic I am about going there if I get accepted...

04/11--Withdrew from Pitt...oh boy...great scholarship that made tuition close to UK and SC, but the cost of living is high compared to what I can get elsewhere. I really liked the school and the people, but I decided that large city living isn't for me. Still waiting on a response from Indiana and an answer to my request for scholarship reconsideration at SC. Its looking like I'll probably be sending a deposit to UK Tuesday...go Cats!!!

03/31--Just withdrew from Toledo, turned down a FULL-RIDE. VERY difficult to do considering I just put myself at least $36,000 more in debt. However, I hated almost everything about the place when I visited and while I don't base everything on rankings, they did DROP into tier 3 which seems significant. Yikes! Meanwhile, IU-B would you please just decide???

03/13--Time to start making semifinal cuts. I really loved Penn State, but I just can't justify choosing it over Pitt who has offered a substantial scholarship...sigh. Florida State hit the chopping block since the tuition for an out-of-stater like me was not helped much by the $1,000 grant they offered. It is also very far from home and SO. This is getting tough! Oh and INDY-BLOOMINGTON would you PLEASE start making more decisions???

03/06--Waitlisted at American via standard envelope to current address. I intended on withdrawing anyway as DC is not a place I want to live, but it still stings a bit when I'd been admitted everywhere else...it also doesn't bode well for Indiana :(

03/03--Withdrew from Vermont, Richmond, Capital, and Pace today. I also had withdrawn from Florida Coastal awhile back. Vermont - too far away and low ranking. Richmond- didn't like the people when I visited, campus is small, plus they are expensive. Capital- need to get out of Columbus and they aren't ranked well. Pace-I don't think I could live in NYC and it is SO expensive to live there!!! Florida Coastal- low ranking, far away.

02/25--Pittsburgh $19,000/yr Dean's Scholarship letter to parents house today.

02/20--In at Pittsburgh finally!!! Included bookmark in packet sent to permanent address.

02/15--In at Capital, with $18,000/yr scholarship.

02/02--In at Pace via large packet complete with $25,000/yr scholarship.

01/31--UK scholarship of $10,800/yr to offset out-of-state tuition.

01/26--Penn State letter - $10,000/yr scholarship offer! Large envelope from Vermont included $20,000/yr scholarship offer! In at KENTUCKY via letter.

01/24--In at Penn State! Found out via email about an upcoming chat...says my packet should be arriving soon!

01/22--In at South Carolina via letter to current address. Includes $15,000/yr to offset out-of-state tuition.

01/11--In at Florida State via phone call.

01/11--FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP offer from Toledo to parents house.

01/07--in at Toledo via letter to parents house. I'm under re-review since they didn't get my December LSAT before making the decision.

12/30--in at Richmond via phone call

12/07--in at Florida Coastal via letter to current address, great scholarship.

I got an email from Kentucky saying that they received my application and FSU has a status checker that showed I was complete, but I didn't check it until after I was accepted. Heres the website: http://www.law.fsu.edu/prospective_students/statuscheck/. Hope this helps! Congratulations on your acceptances so far as well!

Wow! You are rocking out this cycle! Congrats on all of your awesome acceptances, you're going to have some tough decisions to make! I just got my acceptance packet to UO today, so yours should be on the way soon! Right now my top choice is probably L&C, but I'm considering taking a year off and starting in fall '09. I'm still waiting to hear from one or two schools too, so you're not alone. It looks like you're going to sweep!

Congrats. Wow, you're doing great. Look at all those acceptances! I was accepted at UK too, and I am strongly leaning towards attending there. Maybe I'll see you there this Fall. Have you been to Lexington? It looks like a pretty cool town. I've never been to that part of the US, but I've heard nothing but good things from people who have been there.

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty excited about moving to Lexington too. I'm so happy about leaving California. This state is so messed up.
