-Five years' teaching/tutoring experience, both independently and through large test-prep company
-High honors for senior thesis
-Intermediate knowledge of - fluency in 4 languages
-Submitted diversity statement to all schools that had optional essays/that I thought would not penalize me for additional documents (all of the above except Vanderbilt, Virginia, USC, Berkeley, UCLA)
-Submitted only 2 letters of recommendation, one of which I know was very strong

2.23: Another post-withdrawal acceptance - phone call from UCLA. I feel really guilty (unknowingly) taking up spaces.. will have to check on which schools sent me confimation of having received my withdrawal notices.

2.06: Damn, never thought I'd get into Northwestern.. especially since I withdrew about 3 weeks ago. Nice to know somebody would have given me money! =)

1.31: Little white envelope from Stanford. My cycle is over!

1.28: Arrival of the famed Harvard binder!

1.26: Two big packages from Columbia.. rather redundant, but cool nonetheless!

After regaining consciousness, withdrew from schools I'm no longer considering. At this point, though, almost certain I will be attending HLS in the fall! Off to go rent Legally Blonde and The Paper Chase!

1.09: TS1 EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, and sent in financial aid stuff to Duke. But HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, TS1 EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1.06: Sent CLS grades, fingers still crossed as vehemently as fingers can be crossed =T Also, withdrew from UCLA, USC, and Vanderbilt - best of luck to everyone who's still waiting to hear back from them!

12.29: In at NYU via letter dated December 11th but which didn't reach me until today.. I think my mail man is messing with me.

12.24: In at Duke via e-mail! Merry Christmas to me!

12.23: After learning that one of my grades won't be available for another 2 weeks, emailed CLS admissions office available final grades. Crossing fingers for Columbia!

12.11: Columbia fall 2008 grade request. (Cue slasher movie music)

12.10: USC Frank Rothman Scholarship invitation.

12.02: AHHH! Accepted by phone at Berkeley! (Haha Dean Tom: "You wouldn't have to move!")

11.25: Was getting nervous about UCLA and called - it appears my application is complete.

11.24: Big box from Vanderbilt. Fancy!

11.20: Oh, Georgetown, how sneaky you are! My online account says no decision has been made, but I just got their acceptance letter, postmarked the 17th. SWEET!

11.19: Vanderbilt account says decision was made and has been mailed out. Waiting to see what it is and hoping they don't reject only a few days after an application is complete!
