I was going to apply to Loyola University of Chicago originally, but I think I have a good chance of getting into DePaul and I'd rather go to some of my safeties in California first. I think it's a great program but their job placement rates didn't really impress me.

And best of luck to you too! Don't worry about not getting confirmations of receipt of application from Loyola and those other schools - a friend of mine applied there back in September and still hasn't heard a word from them.

WOw there are a lot of people from Wisconsin applying to Michigan ED, like myself! I actually go to Michigan now for undergrad. Good Luck with your cycle!

My GPA isn't good enough for those schools. Also, money matters. I'm really happy about DePaul's offer. I have a good feeling you will get in. I bet a lot of people applied to DePaul as safeties and will drop off eventually.

I had a meeting with the asst dean of adm at DePaul in Sept. It was supposed to be a small group info session but no one else showed up. Anyway, she told me they don't start looking at apps until after Thanksgiving. Either she was lying or they have a TON of apps this year. I think it's the latter and you're at the top of the waitlist. Keep in touch.

An admit streak should follow the deny streak.

...you're a shoe-in for some major money there. I got 3k with an initial score of 151. Not interested in any Chicago schools not willing to give me a free ride or a guaranteed six figure job when I get out, so that rules out every other school in the area. As for the pizza, it's all about the tomato sauce, not so much into the slices. To each his (or her) own, though...

very excited... i was worried about how things were going to shake out given my LSAT. hearing back from BU so soon calmed my nerves and inspired a bit of confidence. i take it you're from the chicago area given the many chicagoland schools on your list?

hey good luck with everything! we have similar numbers...i'm waiting to hear from depaul and think a waitlist is coming for me as well. have you considered applying to marquette?

well i did end up getting waitlisted at depaul, oh well. but i toured loyola and really didn't like it at all. i may still apply to kent but i really liked mu's law school and the fact that you don't have to take the bar in WI is really appealing as well.

i'm not really sure exactly what i didn't like. partially it was the person in the admissions office who was short in her tone and partially because i didn't feel comfortable there...and if i'm shelling out $150,000 i better fit in perfectly where i attend :)

Yeah, I got the "not accepted" update today. The funny thing is that I didn't even want to apply. They kept emailing and calling me. I finally applied and then they sent me back my application fee...and then rejected me. So it was more of a waste of their time. Whatever! Good luck with the rest of your schools. Something good will happen for you to give you some good post-birthday/happy holiday cheer!

I just wanted to let you know I was deferred at Kent last cycle, then waitlisted, and then admitted. Don't get too down about things, I'm sure they'll work out!

congrats on the Temple WL! Did you only apply to FT or both FT and PT? (I have similar numbers and was trying to figure out my chances of getting into the PT program)

Right now it's between Depaul and Kent. Still waiting on Loyola's $ offer to come in March, but I don't think they will be as generous.

i just saw that the status of my application changed to a decison has been rendered on your application. im assuming this means i was rejected. temple was a long shot anyways. i saw you got waitlisted though and was wondering what the application status was changed to on the website. if you could share, id appreciate it.
