You're on the right track, but keep it quiet for now :)
We are applying to a couple of the same schools. Good luck on your cycle.
I was going to apply to Loyola University of Chicago originally, but I think I have a good chance of getting into DePaul and I'd rather go to some of my safeties in California first. I think it's a great program but their job placement rates didn't really impress me.
And best of luck to you too! Don't worry about not getting confirmations of receipt of application from Loyola and those other schools - a friend of mine applied there back in September and still hasn't heard a word from them.
WOw there are a lot of people from Wisconsin applying to Michigan ED, like myself! I actually go to Michigan now for undergrad. Good Luck with your cycle!
how did Depaul notify you?
best of luck to you too.
Why did DePaul waitlist you? Your LSAT is fine and your GPA isn't bad... Well, good luck!
My GPA isn't good enough for those schools. Also, money matters. I'm really happy about DePaul's offer. I have a good feeling you will get in. I bet a lot of people applied to DePaul as safeties and will drop off eventually.
I had a meeting with the asst dean of adm at DePaul in Sept. It was supposed to be a small group info session but no one else showed up. Anyway, she told me they don't start looking at apps until after Thanksgiving. Either she was lying or they have a TON of apps this year. I think it's the latter and you're at the top of the waitlist. Keep in touch.
An admit streak should follow the deny streak.
Good luck with the rest of your cycle. You'll get into several. ;)
hang tough - it's always darkest before the dawn and all that, right?
Hey, SOrry about UMN :-/ dont worry the good news will come shortly. Be patient! the goodnews=UMICH :-) ughhh we need to find out soon. Let me know when ur page turns to decision.
...you're a shoe-in for some major money there. I got 3k with an initial score of 151. Not interested in any Chicago schools not willing to give me a free ride or a guaranteed six figure job when I get out, so that rules out every other school in the area. As for the pizza, it's all about the tomato sauce, not so much into the slices. To each his (or her) own, though...
tough run of form my friend, but it comes with the territory. you'll get through it.
very excited... i was worried about how things were going to shake out given my LSAT. hearing back from BU so soon calmed my nerves and inspired a bit of confidence. i take it you're from the chicago area given the many chicagoland schools on your list?
Congrats on NIU!
hey good luck with everything! we have similar numbers...i'm waiting to hear from depaul and think a waitlist is coming for me as well. have you considered applying to marquette?
well i did end up getting waitlisted at depaul, oh well. but i toured loyola and really didn't like it at all. i may still apply to kent but i really liked mu's law school and the fact that you don't have to take the bar in WI is really appealing as well.
i'm not really sure exactly what i didn't like. partially it was the person in the admissions office who was short in her tone and partially because i didn't feel comfortable there...and if i'm shelling out $150,000 i better fit in perfectly where i attend :)
We seem to have pretty similar stats...I'm rootin hard for you, especially since its about like rooting for myself. It'll all pick up!
Yeah, I got the "not accepted" update today. The funny thing is that I didn't even want to apply. They kept emailing and calling me. I finally applied and then they sent me back my application fee...and then rejected me. So it was more of a waste of their time. Whatever! Good luck with the rest of your schools. Something good will happen for you to give you some good post-birthday/happy holiday cheer!
I just wanted to let you know I was deferred at Kent last cycle, then waitlisted, and then admitted. Don't get too down about things, I'm sure they'll work out!
congrats on the Temple WL! Did you only apply to FT or both FT and PT? (I have similar numbers and was trying to figure out my chances of getting into the PT program)
Thanks for the quick reply! My LSAT is above the 75% for PT, but the GPA is below 25%.. total splitter :( but we'll see! Thanks, again.
It looks like we got rejected together. :(
sorry about the waitlist at temple but it's better than a rejection, right?! we have similar numbers and i'm still waiting on temple. hopefully we both get in. i'm pulling for ya!
So I see that JMLS is your first choice. Have you visited yet?
Right now it's between Depaul and Kent. Still waiting on Loyola's $ offer to come in March, but I don't think they will be as generous.
Congrats on DePaul!!!!!!! Maybe we will be classmates.
Yay for DePaul!
...did your rejection letter from Minnesota include language about applying for a transfer next year? Trying to find a reason to feel special...
i just saw that the status of my application changed to a decison has been rendered on your application. im assuming this means i was rejected. temple was a long shot anyways. i saw you got waitlisted though and was wondering what the application status was changed to on the website. if you could share, id appreciate it.
Hey congrats on NIU! I got the same offer. And congrats on Depaul - see, I told you!
Thanks!! Good luck to you too--hopefully you get into your top picks!
