Additional info & updates

1/11/10 - W & M let me in first! Them being on top of their game makes their program seem that much more attractive! I found out first via status checker and then snail mail.

1/19/10 - In at GWU! This was my first choice, but without $$$ going there will be much more difficult. The decision came by snail mail in a nice package.

1/25/10 - I'm in at BYU! They're offering me a scholarship too! According to their formula, I thought I was out of the running for $$$. I don't think it'll be a full scholarship, but if so, I'd be absolutely delighted! My phone call with Dean Hernandez helped make BYU stand out even further than before. I'll post the scholarship info when it arrives. I was notified during a phone call with Dean Hernandez.

2/5/10 - In at BU via email. I'm excited about being admitted at this great school. Just like the other schools I've been admitted to, my numbers are just middle of the road. They said they were calling admitted students, but because I'm out of country they just emailed instead.

2/11/10 - I got my admittance packet today and I'm absolutely dumbfounded! Full ride at BYU!!! Unbelievable! Speechless!!!

Also, I'm in at Hawaii via email. I'd still love to attend there, but we'll have to wait and see about scholarships. They say most scholarship decisions happen in March.

2/22/10 - I got news of being waitlisted at ND. I think their "Why ND" essay must be pretty important because all I wrote was a few sentences about how I like ND's tradition of holistic legal training. I think they read through my cheesiness and saw me for what I was%u2014a fee waiver applicant.

3/3/10 - I got an email inviting me to the admitted students open house, emailed the dean to confirm whether or not I was actually admitted, and then he emailed saying that he tried calling last week and that my admittance letter had already been mailed out. It's great to have another option.

3/4/10 - As of now, unless I get another fantastic scholarship, it looks like it's going to be BYU for me.

3/11/10 - Rejected at UVA via email. So much for the $12 fee.

3/15/10 - In at UW via snail mail.

3/15/10 - Rejected at UCLA via email.

3/22/10 - WL at BC via snail mail.

Hey, I didn't know you got in at Hawaii! Who can put a price on living on a tropical island, right?

Congrats on UW and BYU

and all the other great schools you got into. Always nice to see someone similar get into great schools (3.48 167, major in finance and accounting, lots of Chinese classes).
