Additional info & updates

4-30-2010: After much careful thought on the matter the final answer is... MICHIGAN!!! This school wasn't even on my radar when I started applying, but I have been really impressed by everything I've learned about them. I'm so excited to go to such an awesome school, though I can't say I'm looking forward to those long cold winters. Ann Arbor, here I come!

2-24-2010: Email from American saying I was waitlisted by them. I've got to say, I just laughed when I saw that. I was accepted for the masters degree part of their dual degree program but not their law school. Oh well... I suppose I can always fall back on my safety school of Michigan.

2-13-2010: Letter from Michigan letting me know that I've been accepted!!! This school is most likely my first choice, not matter what I hear back from Columbia or Harvard! Hopefully some scholarship money will also come, but I'm not holding my breath.

1-26-2010: Got an email from Harvard. They're going to hold my application for further review and will let me know their decision who knows when. While it's annoying to have to wait for even longer to hear back from them, this is at least somewhat encouraging. I was expecting to be rejected outright, so at least this is something.

1-22-2010: Received an email to call the office of admissions at University of Virginia. It was good news. I've been accepted!

1-13-2010: Just heard back from the masters degree that I applied to at American but still have yet to hear back from the law school. Is it a good sign if I got accepted to one of them?

I'm excited to be accepted at both Duke and Georgetown. At the moment I think that my number one choice is Michigan because they have a dual degree program that I like there: a masters in Chinese Studies. If anyone has any information or insight into this program please let me know.

Also, I'm beginning to wonder why I haven't heard back from American yet. it has been almost 3 months since I applied. Sure, I probably won't end up going there, but I'd think that they would at least give me a decision.

Wow, Virginia just offered me a $90,000 scholarship. I still like Michigan the best, but that is a lot of money. This is certainly going to make the decision process a bit more interesting...

wow yeah!
