Additional info & updates

No biggie. I'm patient.

OMG acceptance to Albany! My top choice! Flipping out and ecstacic!! Came in a hyuuge white envelope with info on how much money I have to send them and such. YAAYYY!!!

2-17-06

Got some weird email from Quinnipiac about them being really competitive this year, however they want me to go to some information interview thingy or something.. I guess I'm sorta.. waitlisted? Ok? Nothing in the mail yet, though.

Withdrew from Quinnipiac. Still waiting to hear anything from Suffolk out of curiosity, but I'm going to decline that, too. Sending my deposit to Albany at the Open House on the 4th. :]

3-1-06
Albany sent home a little package to my home address -- had an invitation to the accepted students dinner thingy and a little red and black pin that says Albany Law on it.. aww, haha. Cute. :] Can't make it to the accepted dinner because it's in the middle of the week and I have class.. tempting, though seeing as how there's free beer! I like this school already!

3-4-06
Cut Albany a check on the spot at the orientation. Signed, sealed, delivered..

3-20-06
Recieved my estimated aid letter from Albany (glad I called home, I guess they're sending stuff there now!) and I recieved absolutely no merit or need based(even with an EFC of zip) outside of the $10,000 unsub and the $8500 subsidized loans. Joy.

When you ain't got nothin', you got nothin' to lose, as they say ...

4-14-06 Letter from Suffolk saying that I'm waitlisted. Sending it back in denying the waitlist and withdrawing...

4-20-06 Call from ALS about their acceptance cocktail party in Manhattan.. I'd go, but I'm 8 hours away and graduation is May 21st!

Thanks, you too! Your LSAT is better thoug, I would kill for 1 more point, trust me. Are you planning on staying in the New England area? Have you though about WNEC at all? Might be worth a shot if you're looking to stay around here. My #1? Well, pretty much my whole family went to Seton Hall Law, including both parents, so there's obviously some pressure to go there. Chances of me getting in are slim though, but we'll see. I'm still waiting on some decisions before I rank any of them. Good Luck!

yeah that thing with WNEC is a concern of mine too. I am holding out for some top 100 school.

Thanks for the Albany Congrats! Right now it seems like it is a toss up between Duq. and Albany. I'll have to wait and see what the other schools say before I make my final decision. Good luck. You will be fine, I know Albany looks at more than the LSAT. :)

Me too!
