Additional info & updates

04-19-10 - I am attending Wisconsin! I received the LEO package in December inviting me to apply. At the time, I didn't think much of it, considering my numbers. A pretty long wait later, I've been accepted and have decided to attend. I'm not technically a URM (I'm Chinese), but I'm assuming I qualify for that LEO program.

Cycle is done! It's been a very long and tiring process, but this site has definitely helped. Hopefully, my cycle will give people for the upcoming cycles some hope!

I've definitely learned that numbers, while they are very important, don't mean everything, as you can see from my profile. I think that interesting soft factors and experiences post-college are very important and should be stressed in your application.

Good luck to everyone!

02-15-10 - Accepted today via Status Checker! Very excited about Chicago-Kent. It seems like a great school and it's in Chicago. Great city. As of now, it is between Suffolk and Chicago-Kent.

02-10-10 - Rejected via mail by BU. Not surprising.

01-21-10 - Deferred via Status Checker at Chicago-Kent. I don't really know what this means. But, it's not a reject, so that's good, right?

01-20-10 - Waitlisted at American. Very surprising, considering I just got rejected at Northeastern. So, three waitlists so far. Schools like me, but not enough right now, I guess.

01-20-10 - Rejected at Northeastern. A little surprising, but I think I prefer Suffolk, anyway.

01-19-10 - Waitlisted via mail at Loyola and rejected at GWU.

12-22-09 - Rejected at BC.

12-16-09 - Phone call from Suffolk, $25,000 per year, renewable with a 3.0.

12-08-09 - Rejected at Fordham via Status Checker. No surprise here as it was a big reach.

12-04-09 - Accepted at Suffolk today! Package arrived with the great news.

11-30-09 - Small envelope from DePaul with Waitlist decision.

Hey, congrats on your scholarship from Suffolk! I think we've got the same amount of money and everything. Obviously, BU and Northeastern are better schools in the city but where does Suffolk rank for you?

Thank again for suggesting I write Suffolk an e-mail about a scholarship. They came back with 30k a year. This changes things a bit for me. It would be nice to graduate from law school with no debt.

Congrats! Way exciting about the admit. I was just wondering if you applied full or part time, and if you're an URM?

That's awesome, you must be stoked! What were those soft factors, if you don't mind me asking?
